Got myself trapped in a borrowing cycle and made an affordability complaint-Sunny did take the full 8 weeks to investigate my complaint,which is understandable given the situation,however they kept me updated throughout and always replied to my emails within a couple of days. My complaint was upheld with no contest from Sunny, and once i accepted their offer the redress payment was made within 14 days,without problem. There's lots of reviews about Sunny ignoring messages/exceeding deadlines,but personally cannot fault their customer service at this uncertain time.

So more than a week after the deadline, and despite their promise of "working through complaints to FOS timeframes" it appears the FOS have gotten fed up with them too and have sent me case to an ombudsman to review.
I think this is their tactic all along, drag and drag their heels to make this the most painful experience of dealing with a company in living memory for ANY customer that has an issue with them. I'm now faced with a lengthy wait as the queues for an ombudsman to review a case are meant to be quite long.

FOS has given sunny till the 11th may to reply to their outcome, of course no reply. Fully understand due to covid19 this may be delayed but only backs up other reviews on here about sunny

Terrible. Absolute loan shark scum. DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THESE PEOPLE. I borrowed £1000 last year as I needed quick cash and due to the Coronavirus I have been out of work since March. I was assured by their callcentre staff that I could make an offer to settle, so I did, and it was refused. I had to pay £1800 for £1000 loan. They are utter scum. The repayment has severely affected me financially but I really couldn’t deal with them anymore.

So after years of fighting sunny/elevate the financial ombudsman has finally agreed that they have been lending irresponsibly to me and have in my favour made sunny remove the defaults from my file and pay back all the interest plus 8% on top.
Have that sunny that’s what you get for being bullies and cowboys 😁😁
Anyone reading reviews before taking out high interest payday loans with sunny please please please DONT DO IT!
They will ruin your life.
