I would give zero stars if possible. The experience with RingCentral has been nothing short of horrible. The customer service is abysmal, and the onboarding and setup processes are equally frustrating. We've been struggling with SMS TCR registration for three months. Each time our registration gets denied, their TCR registration team provides the necessary edits, but we are denied again. On a good day, the average hold time is 45 to 60 minutes, only to receive an unhelpful response to the issue. All of their customer support teams are offshore with poor English proficiency and low business competency.
Be aware. We recently switched to Nextiva, and the difference is night and day. Their service and onboarding team are 10 times better, with a much more intuitive UI/UX and streamlined service. Nextiva's customer support team speaks proficient English, gets to the root of the problem, and actively works to solve it. Although Nextiva is slightly more expensive, we are more than willing to pay for the excellent support and service they provide.

I sold my business and am in the process of trying to cancel my contract. I have been trying to cancel since September 2024 and just recently got my final charges invoice after numerous calls. There has been very poor communication throughout this process and it has been delayed numerous time due to RingCentral's lack of response and follow through. Poor communication and transparency regarding the process and related charges. I would give zero stars if I could. Will definitely not do business with again.

"They'll say that you can send SMS then…"
They'll say that you can send SMS then get you into a 3 year contract. Then they'll shut off your SMS costing you valuable business and try to hold you to buy out the contract when you want to leave due to no performance. Go elsewhere if you value a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

"Canceling Requires "Approval""
Canceling a $500 year subscription requires an "approval" from them via a live phone call with a service agent. It took me 13 minutes and 11 seconds to get their "approval" to cancel. THERE IS NO SELF-SERVE cancelation process. In a digital era, this company has FORGOTTEN the customer.

If you get their poor quality service! And than you wanna cancel it! No no no! You dreaming!
Cancelation should be through the call or chat! Either way no one respond or disconnect the call! But if you call for sales and you want purchase new line they will answer in seconds!

"Support is horrible"
Support is horrible. It is couple of months we calling with same issue ring somewhere else and they keep closing tickets and not figurate out why.
Voice mail are going all over instead to be under one chapter so everyone can access.

"Poor communication; System itself is Good"
Recently we had a HUGE Ring Central outage which we understand can happen. However the communication from Ring Central for this issue was non-existent. I had to figure out a way to get to the support page myself that had the status updates. If you can email me to rate your system, you should be able to email me during a big outage with where to look for help.
That said, I'm giving a 3 star instead of 1 becasue in general the Ring Central phone system is pretty good and easy to use.
