"Worse choice ever"

I didn't feel like the support/guidance was up to par especially having Ali Khan. There was a lack of urgency and almost seem as though I was a nuisance with my questions. I'd always say shop around more before going with a firm that was suggested by the housing association.
They also asked me repeated to sign docs I had already provided.
They tried to claim more money by taking my entire deposit despite initially paying a percentage (holding fee/reservation) initially. I had to pay it because I was very busy with work at the time but once I realised I refund to pay the rest of the deposit unless they took the amount off the balance.
Crooks if you ask me.
Worst choice ever.
Shame I'm only seeing the rest of the reviews after closing on my property.

Choosing the conveyancing service from Direction Law is the biggest mistake in our lives. We should have trusted our research on this company and reviews online. Thanks to their "professional service", our house purchase was 6 months delayed and left us no choice to fire this company and restarted the process.

We always valued solicitors as one of the most trustable professions in the past, however, Direction Law really is the one that harms the entire profession and make us continuously speechless and cannot imagine how this company can still exist today. It's not just about communication, they continuously lie about what they said. For us, the service they provided is completely a scam.

Four practical suggestions :
1. avoid this company by all means - check their standard answers to all negative reviews and think about if you would also like to get a similar one even if there is just 1% of chance as well as the resolution method they provide in their response works for you.

2. please always check if the solicitor they assign to you actually exist on SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) website.

3. double check if the assigned solicitor really works for Direction Law as they tend to subcontract someone outside the firm and take advantage of this work method to get rid of their responsibilities - they push all responsibilities to what is so called "fee earner", therefore, if the person who takes your money without providing service to you, you find no one to resolve the issue - this is definitely a false approach – can you imagine if you send all you money to the person right before completion and somehow you cannot find the person any more and Directional Law is not taking any responsibility of the person they assign to you?

4. a professional company will definitely value their reputation and take any mistake very carefully; You will never find a repetitive issue elsewhere with other companies - you should be alerted by that if more than 3 people highlight the same issue.

When you are asked to pay your house deposit when you have already paid it over a month prior and they’ve confirmed they’ve received it, 60+ page documents you have to print and for them to lose it, asking for signed documents you’ve never been sent or previously provided via email and incorrect address details in every email to you, how can you give a high rating. Buying a house is stressful enough. They are incompetent and not fit for business. Very bad experience.
