"Customer service is appalling"
API's are easy to use and set up but that doesn't make up for the customer service which is absolutely appalling I've been having issues recrediting our account for 2 months. There's no live chats or contact numbers and are forced to wait in some case more than 24 hours for any kind of response to support tickets which basically just reads as we couldn't be bothered to actually read your message or look into this but if you contact your bank they might be able to help. Here's a copy and paste of another response we did earlier and a useless error message telling me the zip code is incorrect despite being in the UK where we don't use zip codes. We are now looking into alternatives as the customer service alone makes this service unreliable which could stop working at any time and be weeks or months before they actually look into any issues to fix it

"Front-end for a scamming company"
I signed up to this outfit not knowing they would be slowly whittling down the initial money I had to put into the account to get the service. I haven't used it for 2 years. I expect I wouldn't be charged for doing nothing. Then my account went into the red by 27p. I tried to pay this off, but the minimum I could pay off to close this scammy account was £20, nearly 100 times the amount owed. Naturally, they explicitly state they don't refund money after an account is closed.
Don't touch these scammers with a barge pole.

"Shocking customer service"
Shocking customer service! Been trying to get WhatsApp set up on my twilio number for over 2 months now. Have completed all the steps several times now and yet still they send me endless emails asking for the SAME steps to be completed again!!!!! And claim they are waiting for me to complete steps and that’s why it isn’t set up yet, but I’ve done everything. I believe they can’t actually offer the service they claim to. I asked to lodge a complaint, and they wouldn’t give me any contact details of who to escalate the issue to. USELESS!!!

"Twilio's customer service is despicable"
Twilio's customer service is absolutely abhorrent! For as big of a company as they are, they don't have live people to talk to so you're really at the mercy of some faceless person who decides if they want to reply to you and how long to take to reply. Those people are absolute morons. I am literally wondering if I'm even communicating with actual people. Every time I reply to the rep that takes over the communication (different people), I receive a generic "automated" email that literally asks me to address or answer questions I've already addressed! And there's no way to ask for a supervisor because the other morons are completely worthless. It's absolutely unbelievable how this company is being run.

"Support response times are horrible"
Support response times are horrible. They've disabled my account temporarily because of a breach, but after investigating we found no signs of our account being compromised. We rely on Twilio for signups on our website. Now we've had to shut down signups for 12 hours, waiting kindly for them to reenable our account. We're losing money on sales because of this.

They are still charging me even after my account is not used anymore. Also I can't find any option to disable my account!!!

"Good Developer Experience with API Services"
In the amid of all bad reviews I see here. I am going to describe my experience as a Developer working with their services (API). Their support for developers is professional. Twilio APIs and documentation are some of the best in the industry. They have several SDKs and are maintained regularly which makes creating applications and integration with Twilio much easier. Big SHOUT out to the engineering team!
