Outstanding. I managed to order my van for the wrong day! S&J (Basildon) went the extra mile (no pun intended!) to sort me out a replacement at very short notice. It was larger than I needed or wanted but was pleased to have a substitute. Then, they proactively called me when another smaller option became available. Professional, reliable and friendly to deal with. Will be using again.

I wasn’t actually a customer but they came to my rescue! I had a flat tyre near to their HQ and two gents came to help, repaired my tyre and blew it up! Lovely people who refused to take any payment in thanks.

"Do not use this company they are scammers"

Do not use this company they have scammed me for over a £1000 the day after I took the van back they took the deposit twice, four days later they managed to take £1000 from my account on the day I was paid. When I phoned they were abusive and threatening. Ever since then they have refuse to reply or enter into any communication with me.

Both tipper trucks were in great condition and made our day so much easier.
Drop off is also very easy, even out of hours. Just park up and drop keys through letter box.

I have hired from S & J 3 times now and each time the service has exceeded my expectations.
I've had to move house several times in the last year, and we all know that moving can be very stressful... so when the whole process runs smooth and S & J manage to lighten the load (pun intended) with their reliable, friendly and professional service... ITS INVALUABLE!!

"Above and Beyond Quality Customer Service"

Had a week-long European haul I needed to complete in a Luton. On our way to the port the van we hired broke down, which meant we missed our ferry. Not only did Steve extend the hire period so we could complete the run, but he booked us new ferry tickets at cost to himself so that we could get on the road.

Later, while disembarking the ferry, we were erroneously guided into a collision by their load team. In another situation this could’ve been a disaster, but again Steve and the team worked with us to ensure the ferry company paid out their liability, and they are currently in the process of claiming back the excess. Note S&J have no legal obligation to repay our excess, but they’ve chosen to do so in the name of outstanding customer service.

I will definitely and exclusively use these guys again for any further jobs, and in the meantime will shout their praises from the rooftops.
