I went to TaxAssist for help with the self-assessment tax returns for myself and my wife as they were complicated for 23/24 because of capital gains and losses. I did this with the deadline very close but Vicky Berry and team ensured our submissions were made on time. I sent you my tax documents in August 2024. No communication until Nov 2024, when asked for more details on some shares sold, I sent details within days.
On 6th Dec they requested payment in full, which was strange as I had not received my Tax return, but I paid it anyway the next day.
On 7th Jan went to office to check status as no communications/update received, to be advised the share was complicated and they required an additional 2,500£ to complete.
To say I was shocked is an understatement at such a late stage and after already paying for what was my full Tax return to be complete.
