"Great support for the process"
We have used cultural care au pair for 3 years and they have made the process very easy. They have a lot of au pairs to choose from and supported us during the selection process. Our LCC Jenn is very accessible and helps us with local orientation. We had a rough patch with our current au pair and she assisted in mediating and now our family unit is stronger thanks to her reccomended communication techniques. I have enjoyed the experience with cultural care au pair.

"We signed up with Cultural Care Au Pair…"
We signed up with Cultural Care Au Pair when we lived in Massachusetts and needed child care for our three kids. We had a Au Pair join us in September of 2019. She was wonderful. We loved having her as a part of our family. She was from Italy and when COVID came she became very nervous. Our LCC was wonderful, she connected with our Au Pair, and she called to check in. She made an effort to work with us and our Au Pair. Our Au Pair stayed with us for 18 months and then went back home. We then signed up with another Au Pair who was a little less wonderful than our first. She started dating a boy who lived two hours away and wanted us to drive her to the boy's house as she was afraid to drive our cars saying they were too big. The boy refused to drive her down to our house and always expected her to come to him. We spoke with our LCC regarding this and she helped. She coached me through it as well as spoke to our Au Pair.
Due to work, we needed to relocate to Pennsylvania and our Au Pair decided to move with us. She still kept in touch with the boy and would ask to take Friday and Monday off to go see him as he would not come to see her. I tried to connect with her about the expectations of a relationship and that he should be putting in as much effort as she was. She ignored me and would not speak with me anymore about it. She started locking herself in her room and distancing herself from us. I called our LCC in PA and was asked if I wanted a rematch. I said I didn't as she had been with us for almost a year at this point and I wanted to work through it since there were only a few weeks left of her program. The LCC here in PA did not call her or speak to our Au Pair about how she was feeling. I kept trying to reconnect with her but the relationship was strained. Our Au Pair had questions about her flight so I asked her to reach out to her LCC and her LCC told her to figure it out that there was nothing she could do. I reached out and got the same response. She finally left which was good for all of us and we decided to try one more time. We got a lovely girl from Germany who wanted again to be a part of our family. She was a rematch from another family and started with us in August of 2023. She had her family come to visit and was like a big sister to our daughter. She became very homesick though and decided to leave early. We had paid all the way through March of 2024 and she left January 12, 2024. When she left, we asked Cultural care for a refund of the money since we had been with them for over four years at this point and they said no. We asked again and they say that they would issue us a credit on our account towards another Au Pair but would not give us a refund. We said that due to the lack of support we were getting from the LCC we wanted a refund as we would not be continuing with the program. The simply stopped responding. This was in addition to several emails that went unresponded to by their accounting department asking for payment plans. They were quick to let you know that they owed you money but were unresponsive when asked for any assistance. I would strongly recommend that unless you live in their home state of MA where they are under more scrutiny, to stear clear.

"Get to know better the host families"
I think cultural care should focus on choosing host families very carefully, host families that really want a cultural exchange and are able to host an au pair. Also make sure they get the same importance as au pairs do, have a balance. Do not prioritize host families, be fair.
Au pair.
"My experience "
My family is good but I think the amount of hours per week is too much.
Weekends should be off so the Au pair can enjoy the experience.
