I love using GigSalad! They are really a wonderful platform for small businesses to get their talents noticed. The website is very intuitive and the variety of events or occasions to plan for is really robust. Do vet your vendors, but you can trust the source. I used them in my personal life for planning events and now use them at work because I can trust that I'm getting put in contact with real people, who want to work.

Personally, I had a caricature done with my boyfriend at the time in 2018 and loved it so much that it was a definite part of our wedding reception in 2022. The artist? FOUND ON GigSalad and was the original artist who did our first caricature together four years earlier. She was surprised to see her own artwork!

GigSalad has a special place in my heart and supports me doing professional work with other professionals. Also, when you call customer service - you get a real person so that's a bonus! Try it out!

"When I signed up they were not…"

When I signed up they were not transparent. They did not communicate at any point that leads would be only visible if I paid for a upgraded membership. If you don't pay for the upgraded membership you don't get to see the leads unless you provide a checking account and routing number for a business account. Also the other option is a PayPal. I do not want to do either I should be able to have a choice. I would not have spent all the time that I did creating this if I knew this.

DO NOT USE! Hired Marisol AKA Maria Bonilla from Goodyear az 332 258-2970. went on Gigsalad website . Marisol responded gave her all the info. i stated for her to video part and call me after she stated ok. Maria stated she had to be paid in advance and in full thru PayPal. I agreed to $200.00 for 5 min. she called back said she needed more money for gas. I paid her extra 25.00. She said she was all set. day before even and day of event she never responded. I had tammy at the event with her dog NO one showed up from gig salad Marisol AKA Maria Bonilla I called event they have ring doorbell no one rang door bell nor any motion except tammy walking her dog. Marisol aka Maria
never called. i called her left messages no response she blocked number call from fax she picked up said this is her cousins phone the blocked. i wrote her on GIG salad message she blocked me and said contact gig salad They ripped me off. Beware Reading all the reviews see this happens a lot Karma is going to catch up with them
added: Talked with austin from Gig salad on 5/20/24 He stated he call maria but she never called him back. he stated she violated terms by having paid her on paypal. which was her account not gig salad. on gig salad messages. she writes didnt i get the video she sent? then blocked. Austin stated the transaction went thru her even though everything was on the site. he stated to write a review on her gigsalad page but cannot since blocked My advice STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

"Worst mistake of my life signing up"

As a fire performer whom has been on gigsalad for going on 3 years, this has been the worst experience of my life.

Gigsalad punished the performers and people in the website if you don't respond or deny leads, but the users whom send you quotes, nothing happens to them when they don't respond to your quote or messages. 95 percent of the quotes and messages I have sent (all according to gigsalads recommendations) have gone unread.

Gods forbid if you buy a membership and they promise 16x more views! That's a bold face lie. Bought the membership, and I had less leads than the free membership.

I've contacted gigsalads customer service about it, and nothing happened, nothing will change. Basically a thanks for your complaint but no thanks we won't change anything.

This happened to my wife as well as a make up artist. We both are taking our profiles down and going somewhere else.

You guys hired a lady who knows what she’s doing and brings joy to the company. My high recommendation is to give her promotion of financial preference is the most qualified for her at this time of this conversation, and you know she deserves the best because she is the the one you need in this company to make it run.
