"The gigs I received from GigSalad were…"
The gigs I received from GigSalad were great gigs. Each gig I went to the people were fun and respectful. I’m glad to be part of GigSalad. Still have a few more gigs this season and am anticipating a wonderful season next year.

"No recourse if your vendor is a let…"
No recourse if your vendor is a let down. We paid way too much to have a Santa just sit on a bench and not interact with the children. Gig Salad could care less.
***UPDATE*** You aren't actively working on resolving this, in fact you told me to resolve it with Santa directly.

"GigSalad is My Pefect Partner in the Gig Life!"
I have been partnering with GigSalad for almost 9 years now. Every gig has been awesome. I am especially excited about their payment system. I brag about that all of the time. In the extremely rare occasion there is any possible problem, they always contact me before I even know it exists. Definitely looking forward to more GigSalad Gigs in the future.

"Save your money and find your wedding musicians locally"
I would give them 0 stars if I could.
They have predatory policies surrounding cancellations and refunds. After I found out post-booking and post-payment, that the musicians I had hired were actually unable to perform the services I needed for my wedding celebration, I asked the musicians directly if they could facilitate a full refund. They flat out said no even though they were not able to perform the services I needed AND despite the fact that I gave them 4+ months notice of the cancellation request from the date of my wedding celebration.
I asked GigSalad to intervene and of course they sided with the musician, despite their misrepresentation of the services they could provide, because they knew that by doing so I would have to relinquish 50% of my payment following the cancellation.
I now have to look for a new set of musicians for my wedding :(. But I for sure won't be going through GigSalad again. They are deceitful, greedy and uncompassionate. I've since reported them to the FTC and given all the other shady experiences folks had with GigSalad, I do hope there are actionable consequences for this company. I wish I read all the reviews on Trustpilot before using this vendor. Lesson learned.
If you are looking for musicians in Hawaii, do yourself a favor and bypass this vendor/app. You are better off asking your aunties/uncles, heck ask your wedding planner or other wedding vendors. Mistake on my part for not asking folks here first.

"As a Magician"
As a Magician, GigSalad acts as my lead generator and personal assistant all in one while securing and insuring any and all interactions and transactions I make.
I purposefully bring people to the platform who have never heard of it because of how nice and protective it is towards me and my business.
Syncing my calendars with their website makes life so easy.
10/10 for granting me financial stability and consistent work.
Well worth all the money I’ve invested in the platform.
Thanks GigSalad,
Matthew Swanson

"Professional Santa "
I am a professional Santa. I had been using Gig Salad as a booking agent both last season (2023) and the start of this season (2024). Last season I had no problems and everything went smoothly however this season it seems as though nothing is going right. I bib on a few gigs then booked them only to find out that I did not receive my deposit money up front from Gig Salad. Bear in mind the amount of money I charge is low compared to other Santa's. Therefore the full amount is paid to Gig Salad upfront and my deposit that is paid to me upfront is half of the full amount. Gig Salad pays via direct deposit to either a Checking or Savings account depending on what you choose. I booked my first gig at the beginning of November and as of today November 21, 2024 I have not been paid for it. The Mrs. has entered our banking information 4 different times and has spent every other day on the phone trying to resolve this issue. We keep getting to same "tap dance", your deposit has been rejected and your account is frozen because you entered something wrong so you should re-enter your information. Then we get the let me check into this and I will call you back. This has been going on steadily for 2 weeks. We have requested to talk to someone in the Finance Department only to be told we could not. As of this AM we pulled out of Gig Salad. I would not recommend using this agency (Gig Salad) to anyone at this point. I'm not sure they are on the up and up. To all the customers I had booked Gigs with if you contact me I will do your gig for free. I am very sorry. Santa B.
The banking information was never entered incorrectly on my end. I wanted the money deposited into a savings account. Your financial people kept entering it as a checking account. In the end, you determined that you would have to enter the information manually and say it was a savings account. One of the deposits was rejected three times and two were rejected twice. I lost faith in your ability to do your job!

"Gig Salad filters what reviews are allowed on their site."
I booked a bartender thru GigSalad for a company event approx 100 attendees. They said as a courtesy they would be there a half hour early to set up. Bartender & server were late not early, so my staff, who were there to mingle with clients wound up mixing drinks, and settle the crowd who was not happy. Our host was PAPERCITY DALLAS, and the publisher, when she spoke, even felt the need to apologize to the guests. Vendor blamed us and unwilling to budge. Even Gig Salad reviewed my review and would not put it up:
"Hello Julie,
Your review is not showing up at the moment because it looks like your vendor disputed it. Any time a review is disputed, it's taken off our site while our review team looks into it. Usually they come to their decision within 3-5 business days and it looks like they still haven't decided if this review is going to stay published or not."
That was a week after the event, and of course it was not published, nor have I heard any reply. I was a long time Gigsalad user, but now I can no longer support this platform. Too bad because they do have an awful lot of good vendors.

"You will not be protected if your vendor screws you over"
We booked 2 servers through a vendor on gigsalad. This vendor showed up late and lost all of our dinner plates that we used for our wedding and had planned to re-sell. The servers were the only people allowed to touch the plates and were responsible for them during and after dinner service. We do not know where they went, but they are gone. The company owner refuses to take any responsibility and refuses to ask the servers what they did with them. We are now out almost $200 and gigsalad took the company's side and will not help us get a refund for our lost property. They did refund us $27 for them showing up late, but that is not nearly enough for everything we lost.
I do not recommend booking with gigsalad or with Boots and bourbon because you will not be protected at all.

"We've booked shows via GigSalad!"
We've booked several shows through GigSalad!
Shannon was very helpful. She was genuinely intersted and attentive. Patient too. We had confidence signing up for the Feature ad service in GigSalad, and she helped us to tweak our page and provided even more valuable tips, as well.
Thank you so much!
Magically yours,
Jonathan

"Amazing Dancer."
We had Nour perform as a belly dancer at our daughter's wedding. Nour is a very talented performer and this from our experienced Egyptian guests. She was the icing on the cake. The crowd absolutely loved her. Thank you Nour.
