"The Siskin barn was beautiful"

The Siskin barn was beautiful! Little details are thought of, robes and flip flops for the hot tub, blankets (not that they are needed as) the house is wonderfully heated with underfloor heating! Such a cosy luxurious place to stay. Would also love to come in nicer weather to enjoy the garden area. Would definitely recommend.

"December 2 night stay"

We came in December, it was a warm welcoming cottage, with Christmas tree and lots of lovely touches. It was spotlessly clean. The sitting room had comfy armchairs, the bathroom had a wonderful bath, and the bed, so comfy.
Would highly recommend you won't be disappointed, everything you need for either a day or two, or a much longer stay.

Merchant House is a very special property, which has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard and is perfect for large groups to get together. Charlbury itself is a great little village with The Bull and The Bell around the corner for a special meal (or special event in The Barn at The Bell) or just a nice supper. We had a wonderful time here with our family and could not recommend it more highly.

2nd year we have stopped in the guest cottage, great cottage for the 4 of us to use as a base for the races. Only a short walk up the lane into the town for anything needed too

My wife and I have enjoyed many visits to Lower Slaughter staying at the Slaughter Inn. However, this time we chose to stay at dog friendly Thimble Cottage
— what a cosy beautiful small cottage. Located in the middle of the village and a 5 minute walk to the Slaughters Inn for dinner etc. The cottage owner Rachel has taken much time and trouble to make one’s visit a pleasure.Lots of picturesque dog walks to.
