"Never Arrived! Misleading/false advertising"

Ordered a couple knives for gifts for Christmas around mid Dec. The site said that the order would arrive before Christmas 21st-24th. This is why I placed the order. When contacting their customer service department via email, they stated that due to mass orders they had to ship from manufacturer which is over seas. (China my guess)
If I knew this prior to ordering, I would not have placed the order. Felt this is extremely misleading and a true sign of greed.
Looking like I may have to chargeback with my bank.
I would stay away from Seido based on my experience.

This company is a joke. I ordered a knife on the 10th of December. It’s been 20 days so far and I still don’t have it. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Got set for Christmas and wife got them over a month before. I open and one blade has a rather large sliver on the cutting edge. They refuse to do anything because order was over 30 days.

Also buy on Amazon for way less, same knives.

Purchased a few of these different ones hoping they would be decent quality for a few presents for Christmas.  When I received them they were in cheap cardboard generic boxes with an insert from the company, when opened I noticed the quality was nothing like what they stated on the site.  They are cheap imitation stamped Chinese made knives not Japanese forged knives, I found the exact same ones on Amazon for $20 when I paid $99 (see link below).  Address in the US is not a valid address, it's some drop shipper, the address in Canada is the same, doesn't show a real business, looks to be some sort of shopping mall.  Phone number doesn't work as you can only leave a message and no one returned several of my calls.

Requested to return them with their 30 day money back guarantee which was clearly stated on the item and in the site FAQ.  It stated "RISK FREE MONEY BACK GUARANTEE" if your not "COMPLETELY SATISFIED" and "FULL REFUND NO QUESTIONS ASKED".  They stated there would be a 20% restocking fee and I needed to pay to ship them back to Canada when they were shipped from the US.  None of which complies with their guarantee as your out of pocket a ton for return shipping as well as 20% off.  

Return shipping cost more than the knives were worth.  When I asked to talk to a supervisor, I was told the phone lines were down, when asked to talk to someone they could call on the cell phone they didn't respond.  Asked several times to talk to a supervisor or manager and they would not allow it.  After days worth of emails (over 25) and requests for them to adhere to their money back guarantee they would not.  I had to contest it with PayPal and pay about what I paid for the knives to ship them back but at this point it was more about principal than the cost.  Customer service was horrible, this is nothing more than a scam to get you to buy and once you buy if you're not happy you don't have much of a choice but keeping them.  

After I put a claim in with Paypal and they changed the verbiage on their guarantee to remove "full refund" and reworded it to make it sound like there is no risk but they will pull the same thing on you.  If you do some searches on the internet tons of people have had the same issue, should have done my research first.  

After paying to return to Canada found out the address they gave us was a fake address and some shopping mall, the product is obviously worthless as they just hope you don't spend as much much shipping back to Canada than you paid for the knives so they roll the dice and have you ship it to a fake address. Emailed them several times to get correct address for UPS and no response. Just shows how it is even more of a scam.

"Knife never arrived"

Knife never arrived. Contacting my credit card company tomorrow to report fraud. Reached out to customer service and they asked for me to be patient but never gave a reason to why it hasn’t shipped yet or when it might ship. I ordered on Dec 9 and expected to have it as a gift but it never showed. Based on reviews it seems like I made the wrong choice buying this knife…

Items never arrive and they only do refunds if you have the item delivered. Do not order from them. They copy and paste bull responses. I ordered from them and regret it. This issue is ongoing. Don't waste your time.

"Garbage Chinese knives shipped right…"

Total joke Chinese knives shipped right from the factory in CHINA then repackaged in California shipped by a guy named Lee not shipped from Portland OR like they would like you to believe. Took almost a month verses 3-7 days free shipping. Garbage product with from a company with lots of excuses. 🤣🤣 Definitely not quality, more like Japenese STEAL. Buyer beware - just buy American like Buck and save yourself the headache.

Knives are really sharp and have enough weight to be comfortable handling them. Already cut myself once. Overall appearance is they look great. My only and only one negative is one blade was bent and it wasn’t done in shipping or handling, it appears a manufacturer defect. Filed claim on it 12/01/2022 and they did it for me since the claim site wouldn’t accept any of my information. Still waiting to hear from them about when it’ll ship. Otherwise excellent knives.

The knife set is very good quality and the company has great communication with customers. The set is perfect for a new or even a seasoned or amateur chef looking for a quality set of knives.
