"Excellent Service"
Excellent Service, from the first phone call.
We were put off dealers right from the calls. We knew what caravan we wanted, and what year, and a lot of other places were very forward to recommend a newer model, one we knew our car would struggle to pull, combined with poor telephone manners were were put off from the other dealers.
When we called Lowdhams, we were put through to Kirby, he listened to our needs and knew that what we were after had become available and not made it onto the website.
He didn't push for a newer model and was very polite.
Based only on the way he handled our call, we made arrangements to view the caravan that same day.
The reception staff were very helpful on our first visit and introduced us to Kirby.
Kirby was very polite and very accommodating we are totally new to caravans, and he went over the features of the caravan in great detail and let us know what things we would need to purchase if we decided to buy the caravan.
He interacted with our daughter who was 4, and put her at ease. There was a lot to take in in terms of formalities if we wanted to proceed with the purchase but we never felt rushed or under pressure.
We put a deposit on the caravan, and explained that the funds would be available within 4-5 weeks to which he explained was not going to be a problem.
When the funds were available we called and spoke to Kirby and explained we would like to come through and visit.
Kirby allowed us to view the caravan again, and went over the list to make sure we had what we needed.
Payment made and not long after we were booked in to collect the caravan.
We booked an overnight stay on the rally field after the hand over.
The hand over was great, however for us being new, a lot to take in.
I'd make a suggestion that if possible, it would be nice to have a member of staff be available on the rally field to give a quick tutorial for reversing into the pitch.
A second overview of the attach and detach process would have been appreciated as it was a little information overload, and coupled with the fact it was pouring down with rain.
The initial setup was a little stressful as you can appreciate.
Considering that it was pouring it down with rain, we had our dog, and daughter with us on the first night, it added to the stress however, as I mentioned to the staff on reception, if we can still enjoy it while its pouring it down, with soggy shoes, when we have decent weather, we will enjoy it so much more.
We took the caravan out a few days after to have more practice with setting up, and the site had a power cut.
We couldn't get the fridge to switch to running off gas, so with a quick call to Lowdhams, and speaking to someone from the workshop, they were very helpful and was able to guide me through the steps to get the fridge running whilst the electricity to the site was out.
I am very happy with my purchase, and thanks to the help from Kirby, our family are now able to make more happy memories.

"Part exchange"
We had a 7.5 meter van, due to storage costs increasing we decided we'd put the van on our drive, but obviously we knew at that length it was not practical, so decided to downsize from a 4 berth fixed end bed,all singing van to a more basic 2 berth... anyway even though we were buying a cheaper ( but same age) van, lowdhams were very positive, providing us with our new van, cash back and a years warranty, absolutely delighted. We bought our other van, brand new from lowdhams and we were always pleased with the service, so to swap to a smaller van and still get the same, new van service was exceptional , nothing but good words for lowdhams
