"Shared Ownership"

Purchased a house under shared ownership. Purchas was fine except 3/4years later when you start to question things or ask for repair on the estate.

Trees and shrubs and other areas poorly maintained. This is managed by Aster who use a third party. Logged issues eith trees and areas 6 months ago and still not been touched. Emails to Aster do not make a difference. All issues logged via the app. It's ridiculous. Once they have your money they're not fussed. Also raised. Concerns regarding the increase in rent and insurence which was basically met with tough. Asked why they dint cap rent raise and they basically said "because we don't have to". Latest was I got sent a map with what areas are maintained which doesn't even show my house. Aster as a assured landlord are simply pants.

"Horrendous"

Horrendous. We were sold the house with Aster knowing they had given British Gas the wrong gas and electric meter numbers for the whole estate. They did not even tell us once we moved in we discovered it ourself when we tried to change suppliers. Would not have bought the house had we known the issue. Almost 5 months in and still not resolved. I’m so sad about it as it’s our first home we have bought. Aster please do not reply with your automatic response to call your number. I am already talking to someone about the issue. I just want others to know about my experience.

"Not a good landlord."

Not a good landlord.
Lack of interest in tenants needs or concerns.
Lack of knowledge or training in special needs/ mental health/disabilities.
Currently pinning tiles that were put up on 250 houses without pins.
Very poor communication.
Too many homes being 'managed' , care more about making money than tenants happiness.

"We are living in hell "

If I could give 0 stars I would

We brought our first property on the shared ownership scheme with aster.
On the viewing we were told that the propertys joint to us were going to be " private renting"
This wasn't the case...in fact it was social housing. We have had nothing but issues and with drug dealing and multiple emergency services visiting the properties.

I put a formal complaint in about being misold and if we had known it was social housing next to us we wouldn't have brought it due to the fact it putting the value of our property down in price - as let's be honest it puts a lot of people off.

We received the stage 1 results of the complaint with aster telling us we have no case and nothing will be done.
So I will be taking it to stage two and then stage 3
As for everything else we have had a defect with are walls since we moved in. We can hear washing machines, plates being put away, taps being turnt on and every single footsteps from the neighbours. - these houses were built by Bewley who clearly haven't built the connecting wall correctly with the correct insulation.
I have been dealing with aster for a year now and they avoid doing anything. I have spoken to about 10 different people in aster and they have all been absolutely shocking.
I even connected the CEO and never got a follow up email.

We are being forced out of our own home because aster and Bewley homes don't want to take responsibility that there is an obvious issue as they don't want to spend the £ to fix it
Avoid at all cost. We have been living like this for a year and it's awful. We are both emergency services workers and we struggle to get a good night sleep due to the noise coming through the walls.

We have had no support from aster apart from fake promises that never come to anything.
The NHBC are getting involved but aster haven't even given them the correct information on what propertys are causing the issue.

We are living in hell. Sleepless nights - forced out of our home to stay at family/ friends houses to get sleep - durg dealing on are doorstep.

We asked aster to buy the property back off us but they said no... I wonder why

"Very disappointed with online service"

Very disappointed with online service

Placed & paid for order online which promised next day delivery.

Here I am 2 days later, no delivery with a promise that the delivery team will contact me in the next 1-2 days.

Disappointing performance Aster

Have cancelled my order - let's see if your refund system is any better

"Fast Clean Tidy and Polite"

Operative came out quickly and was very helpful didnt leave until he had fixed the issue. Everyone involved from reporting to booking to completing the job has been amazing polite and helpful. Only downside it was easier to find out how to complain than it was to compliment - Shouldn't that be the other way round?

"Expected to climb at fence at aged 70!"

Our front door lock broke and we couldn’t get into our house. We were told it was a not emergency, they said we could use the back door. Explained that the garden gate was locked and suggested we climb over the fence. Gave us an appointment for next week, and said if we wanted we could fix the door ourselves. Fortunately our neighbours son managed to climb over the fence and let us in. Fixed the door thanks to B&Q. - we filled out the form but no contact from aster

"Greedy and lazy money grabbers"

Have lived in an Aster property for 14 years and have to say they are absolutely awful landlords. I have given up expecting any repairs to be done, they either dont bother or they do just a shoddy job that it needs replacing again within a matter of weeks.
Have had countless gas leaks to which their response is to switch gas off and leave us with no heating or hot water for days until someone can be bothered to look into the problem.
I stayed in my property as I was told when I moved in, I would be able to buy it at discount after so many years. Surprise, surprise -'our policy has changed and we no longer offer this'. Funny though, as as soon as a tenant leaves, the property goes on the open market.
Communication is appalling and when you do speak to someone, they treat you as though you have the intellect
of a half dead snail.

Nothing but a money grabbing company.

"Uninterested Landlord "

Anyone would think that Aster might be able to put up a few No ball game signs in their residential areas where the kids are kicking private fences with leather footballs and knocking on doors demanding balls back and when there are three parks within a five minutes walk. Or perhaps asking their tenants to stop nuisance parking because they have to many cars and not enough spaces affecting other residents right of way. Both these issues for three years I have tried to resolve with Aster housing officer Giles because she covers our patch unfortunately with no success what so ever. No wonder you have such a bad name with housing development companies. FYI It's been a dreadful experience living in an Aster home.
