He had been part of the teams who had to deal with the aftermath of the 1987 storm. He always said he was sad about the beech trees, which are these same trees 55 years earlier in this beautiful photograph of 1932.
As perfect as I hoped it would be.

"An iconic building"

Very pleased to get this picture of what has become an iconic building in Belfast, namely the Merchant Hotel. It's difficult to take a good photo of it with an ordinary camera as the building is in a narrow street and never in full sunlight. This is a good quality print and tastefully framed.
PS The Merchant does a fantastic afternoon tea.
