I couldn't be more thrilled with the solar and battery installation at my home! From start to finish, the process was seamless, professional, and exceeded all my expectations.

The team was incredibly knowledgeable and guided me through every step of the project, from selecting the best solar panels and battery system to ensuring all permits and installations were handled efficiently. They were punctual, courteous, and maintained a clean workspace throughout the installation process.

Our solar system is now 6 months installed and running smoothly. VSL has proved to be a thoroughly professional and trustworthy company throughout: outstanding and efficient teamwork, both from the office team and the on-site crew, timely response to all email and phone queries, both pre- and post- installation, and at a realistic price. (Notable that boots were removed or covered when entering the house!).
Special thanks to Richard and Fred, both of whom instilled confidence on our initial email contact and on-site survey: no pushy salesmen here, just a straightforward, knowledgeable, detailed and honest approach with the customer.

We had our solar panels plus battery fitted a few weeks ago by VSL. It was all done very efficiently and professionally in a day. Everything was explained very clearly to us and after care/ customer service has been extremely good. We would certainly recommend VSL for solar panels.

"The best company I have ever dealt with"

I recently had my install completed by VSL (solar and battery) and I would 100% recommend VSL to everyone.

Everyone within VSL was fantastic and so easy to deal with. The first initial call I had with Richard to discuss my needs and the quote was so easy and so different to all the other calls I had previously. VSL had given me a very competitive price but I had already given my word to another company. Richard respected this and never pressured me into anything but instead left the door open and made me aware they would love to do my install should anything change. For reasons I wont go into the other company let me down so I returned the call to Richard and we got the ball rolling. Katherine in the office kept me fully informed all the way through my application for the DNO and I was amazed at how quick the turnaround was to get my certificates once the install had been completed which is down to Katherines expertise in this area. The first initial instal was completed by Lucas and Alife and I must say they are 2 of the most polite and professional young lads I’ve come across, they are an absolute credit to VSL. The last and final install was led by Fred and the rest of the team, I work from home so the electrics were turned off when it suited me and they always kept me in the loop. During the instal there were a couple of tiles slightly damaged but before I had even noticed them Fred had already approached me to let me know and mentioned they will be replacing them along with some of the other tiles which were already broken, I was so impressed by this as I would suspect some companies wouldn’t have been so forthcoming about this. Fred even offered whilst the scaffolding was up to replace an end cap for one of my gutters which had fallen off some time ago. This was something on my to do list and I was so grateful Fred and the team offered to sort this for me as it saved me a very tricky job getting up there. James then came for the final inspection and as the theme goes now he was very thorough and friendly. There was a slight complication after install but VSL never left me in doubt that it would be rectified which I don’t know if I would have had the same confidence if it was another company. Alfie and Lucas came a couple of weeks after the initial to sort it as it was only a minor issue and I had total confidence in the lads as soon as they arrived for the job.

I can honestly say VSL have been the best company I have ever dealt with. Sometimes you will have an outstanding experience with one or two employees but to say everyone was not just good but outstanding is a credit to VSL and I can honestly say as a customer you truly feel that you are their number 1 priority. The service and focus on doing what is right by the customer is truly unbelievable and is what sets them aside from any other company I have dealt with EVER. For anyone looking to get solar installed I would recommend VSL, this is a long term investment and you want to make sure you are getting exactly what you expect and total confidence any issues will be rectified which VSL will do.

"Fabulous expert installer and supporter"

They installed panels, batteries and an inverter for our house several months ago. The systems are great, work well and look very smart. Can't say anything negative about the installation. All throughout the process they have been fabulous and offered help and support post installation. I've even spoken many times with their technical teams to improve the operations and they know their stuff! Can't recommend them enough.

"Nice Guys, Issues with workmanship."

**I have since had contact again after this review, and have had a goodwill payment to cover the work that was redone.**

Had a Sunsynk 5kw inverter, 2 x 5.2L Batteries and 12 Jinco 430W panels installed on 2 aspects of the roof on the main house roof installed by VSL, quoted a 2 day install.

In total I have now had 4 visits from VSL, the first for the site survey, the second for the initial install, the third to tidy and fix some of the original install, and a forth to fix further workmanship issues created on the third visit! I will try and keep this short, but as I did a lot of research before choosing VSL, none of the reviews highlighted what I have experienced.

The guys them selves were a pleasure to have around and chat to, Fred especially was easy to approach and very open with some problems they encountered, They were open to changing certain components prior to the install commencing. However;

Arrived Late, with incorrect parts and missing tools I had to provide. In an unmarked white van and left early due to missing parts.
Didn’t keep to timescales- quoted for 2 days, ended up being 4 days with a day they attended another job instead of mine.
Went to another job in between finishing mine leaving DC Cables hanging for the day and no functionality of the installed batteries/inverter after they had promised.
They were going to fit damaged Solar Panels, had to highlight the damage.
Workmanship in my eyes was below the standard I was paying for with messy finishing and missing small parts like endcaps, not taking care with the £1800 batteries for example.

After the second visit I found a multistrand supply cable that was damaged that could have, if left unattended, caused damage to the outside consumer unit.
Did not install the system to what I agreed to on the site survey.

Current outstanding issues that are being ignored – Inverter casing is damaged, with no acknowledgement of causing it. The main earth to the install is not protected and looks a mess flapping in the wind.

At first VSL were very receptive to my concerns sending James out to Quality check everything (James also very professional and a pleasure to talk to).

I am lucky I am an electronics engineers and like to do research about large projects I pay for, unfortunately that will not be the same for others. Please do your research and don’t be afraid to ask questions regarding your install.

Due to the acceptance and willingness to rectify the issues this would have been a 4 star review but now a 2 star as they are ignoring my emails.

VSL installed my solar panels at the end of January 2023.
Everybody at the company was polite, helpful and efficient and the installation went very smoothly.
My panels have worked without fault and over the 16 months that they have been in operation, I have repaid 27% of the installation cost.
A very good result from a company that I would highly recommend.

"VSL Solar / Battery installation."

VSL delivered a Solar array battery storage system for my domestic property. From the original concept working with the design team through the procurement and technical selection process to the final installation and commissioning of the system, the VSL team exceeded my expectation (Im not easily impressed :-) ...). Pleasure to work with , Back room tech staff, office staff and site teams all very helpful and focussed on providing solutions.
All of the documentation (MCS) and grid certification handled for me , with minimum impact for the me as the client.
I would would certainly use them again , quality team and service

"5 months from installation, everything perfect"

I have had my solar panels installed for over 5 months now and I love them. The staff at VSL is incredible, every representative I have spoken to are competent, friendly and professional. My amazing experience started with the sales team who provided the initial (very competitive) quotation, then the installation team who carried out the work in the agreed timescales and left everything nice and tidy, and finally the aftercare people, who always reply promptly to my many questions... They all deserve 5 stars.
