My experience with Pinergy has been awful. Their prices are exorbitantly high, and to make things worse, they began double charging me even after I switched to another provider. Their customer support is the worst I’ve ever dealt with – completely unhelpful and unresponsive. I’m still stuck paying dual bills after the switch. Avoid them at all costs!

"Painful experience with solar installation"
The solar installation from proposal to the point when everything worked took 3 and a half months. The original installation was prompt, however part of the panels were not connected and another part did not work. They had to come back way too many times to fix the installation. In the process there were several times when they told they would come and either cancelled last minute or just did not show up. In total, counting all times when they came to our house and when they promised but did not I had to be at home on 11 days. Not even counting those when they cancelled at least the day before.
Apparently, the guys working outside on the panels had no communication at all with the electricians working inside the house. I had to explain every time somebody came to fix the installation what happened so far and what they were supposed to do. Throughout the process there were three points where they considered the installation completed although parts of the set-up did not work and every time I had to complain to get them work on it again. In the final round when two panels were wired with reverse polarity, I had to beg the electrician to try to reverse the wiring, just to prove me wrong, while he claimed that it is working fine and it is impossible to reverse polarity for some panels in a string. Well, it was not.
They uploaded the documentation to SEAI page with my name misspelled and with a completely different address.
Eventually the installation got fixed and the grant paid but I'm still waiting for an itemized list of all the parts that were installed. Without this I don't think I can claim any warranty as I have no proof of purchase.
Everybody from the company was helpful, polite and doing their best, however, I think their processes are very poor and they had a really hard time to cope with an installation just a bit different from the standard configuration (10 panels on one side and two on the other).

Kay from customer service wass very helpful. However, pinergy itself is very difficult to deal with. I would say avoid level pay scheme. Pinergy always over charges you and you end up having several hundred euros in your balance all the time. electricity you paid for but basically never used...

Ryan was really helpful and kind I am changing to another provider but they were so kind about it and they helped me through out the transition. The electricity had switch off and he topped up and managed to get everything sorted
