I am a beginner in the microcontroller world, and "C Programming For Embedded Microcontrollers" is an excellent resource for a novice like me. The book is clear, concise and useful, and it explains all you need to know to build a good basis on the embedded world. The PDF format is excellent to take notes and for portability. I'm giving only 4 stars out of 5 because it is a bit outdated: the book was published in 2008, and never updated since then. Reading it in 2021 feels like a lot of water has flowed under the bridge. However, it is still a great read for an introduction in microcontroller programming.
