First time buyer looking for a 95% LTV mortgage with an old default.

We spoke to Ava on the Monday after having an offer excepted but being nervous we wouldn’t get the mortgage (we did have a AIP).

She was so helpful and reassuring we decided to go ahead with simply as our broker.

We started go a separate AIP with Barclays on the Tuesday with Ava advising she’d been successful getting mortgage for others with same circumstances. Ava and Abby guided us through what documentation we needed and ID checks, being really easy to get hold of if we had questions.

The application was submitted on the Thursday and by Friday mid day we had our mortgage offer.

As a very anxious person, they reassured us every step of the way.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to Simply Lending. We turned to them after having a mortgage application rejected by a high street lender.
Crest fallen and feeling uncertain about our chances of getting a mortgage we thought we’d give Simply a go.
From the first conversation I had with Nathan (broker) I knew I made the right decision. He said he was confident he would be able to get us a high street lender despite me being self employed.
