If you are considering purchasing from this company, do yourself a favour, just DON’T! If you don’t take my advice, read the 100’s of negative reviews spread over various platforms. I ordered a washing machine for my mother in law, and I have had nothing but a headache since. They are the sort of company that I will expect to see on Rough traders. They will arrange delivery and mark it non delivered, and charge £50, claiming it’s in their terms and conditions, and if you challenge it, they tell you that its irrelevant and the charge is justified.
THIS IS THE REALITY OF MY SITUATION.
1. I RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION AT 10.54 ADVISING DELIVERY FOR 11.54AM.
2. I RECEIVED A 2ND NOTIFICATION AT 12.08 ADVISING DELIVERY AT 12.38.
3. CALLS WERE MADE TO MY MOBILE AT 12.57 and 13.01. NOTE: OVER 1 HOUR LATER THAN THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATED TIME.
4. THERE IS NO FOOTAGE SHOWING THE VAN ENTERING THE STREET. THIS WOULD HAVE ALERTED DELIVERY (AS A VAN PULLING UP IS FAIRLY NOTICABLE) AND ALSO WOULD HAVE TRIGGERED THE DOORBELL.
5. ONE PERSON ENTERED THE STREET CARRYING “A TOOL BAG READY TO CARRY OUT THE ORDERED JOB”. THEY TOOK A FEW PHOTOS IN ORDER TO “PROVE” THAT THEY ATTENDED AT 13.06 AND 13.09. THIS, HOWEVER WAS AFTER THE NOTIFICATION WAS SENT FOR FAILED DELIVERY AT 13:01.
6. I RETURNED THE MISSED CALLS AT 13.07,13.08,13.09,13.10. ACCORDING TO BOTH MOHAMMED AND CHARLOTTE, THEY WERE STILL AT MY PROPERTY AT THIS TIME, YET THE CALLS WERE IGNORED. CHARLOTTE STATED “IT WAS HIS PERSONAL PHONE AND DIDN’T HAVE TO ANSWER”….BUT WAS ABLE TO CALL ME OFF THIS NUMBER?
7. NO ONE KNOCKED THE DOOR, WHICH MOHAMMED STATED “IS ACCEPTABLE AS THEY ARE NOT OBLIGED TO KNOCK- THEY PHONED AND THIS IS ENOUGH.” YES, I HAVE 2 MISSED CALLS WHICH ARE BOTH MISSED BEFORE THEY CAME TO THE HOUSE TO TAKE PHOTOS. IT IS FAIR TO CONSIDER THAT THESE CALLS WERE CALLS THAT RANG ONCE, PRIOR TO RINGING OFF,IN ORDER TO GAIN EVIDENCE THAT AN ATTEMPT TO REACH ME HAD BEEN MADE.
CONSIDERING THE FACTS-THEY PARKED A LARGE SIGN WRITTEN COMPANY VAN AROUND THE CORNER. THEY THEN CREPT INTO THE STREET WITH A TINY TOOL BAG IN AN ATTEMPT TO REMAIN INCONSPICUOUS. THEY DID NOT KNOCK AT THE PROPERTY, REFUSED TO ANSWER MY CALLS WHILST STILL AT THE PROPERTY AND ALL OVER 1 HOUR LATER THAN THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATED TIME?? THIS WAS CALCULATED AND PURPOSELY DONE, IN ORDER TO GAIN BACK THE TIME THAT THEY WERE RUNNING LATE, AND ARE ABLE TO HIDE BEHIND THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE £50 MIS DELIVERY FEE-THAT IS ON EVERY SINGLE NOTIFICATION SENT OUT. IM NOT DISPUTING THAT THEY DIDN’T ATTEND THE PROPERTY. I AM DISPUTING THAT A REASONABLE ATTEMPT TO DELIVER WAS NEVER MADE, AS I HAVE EVIDENCED.
I have spoken to 3 different customer service advisors, raising my points, and these are some of the replies I have received.
CARLY- will talk over you and literally just repeats it’s irrelevant and the terms and conditions state and that they have photos that they attempted delivery. When I asked why the van didn’t enter the st- I apparently know myself there is no parking available at the property and don’t want a ticket(?)
MO- told me that the delivery driver is not obligated to knock the door. A phone call is enough. I asked him what the timestamp was on the “evidence photos”- 13.06 and 13.09. when I asked why if you get were taking photos at that time, did they refuse my 5 return calls between those times,he told me they were probably driving again.
Charlotte- confirmed the times that they were outside taking photos. When asked why my return calls were ignored she said it’s his personal phone and “like me doesn’t answer unknown numbers.. but he had called me using this phone. When questioned about why the van didn’t come into the street, she blamed lack of parking. I once again pointed out that their own evide photo shows a huge space outside the front door and ring bell footage shows no vehicles parked outside 1 either. She then decided that the street is very tight and the van wouldn’t have been able to swing into the street. Again I reminded her that I have evidence that there were vehicles obstructing parking and that it is a very normal sized st. She then told me that the drivers are from Leicester and don’t know the streets, and so that’s why they didn’t come and park in the nice space right outside the front door. She actually told me that “Im clutching at straws”.
Even with all the evidence confirming that they didn’t even attempt to deliver, they still hide behind “we have evidence that we attended,the charge stands.”
