"Try it for a month before investing"

As some others have said, the strength of this course is absolutely in Alexa herself. She's charming and delivers the material in a way that makes one comfortable. The initial lessons are great for those with no French experience or knowledge, and the supplementary videos are helpful.

The quizzes do need some work in that, for example, if you add, say, a space after your answer or if you do (or sometimes don't) capitalize the first letter of your answer, the answer will be marked incorrect. I've also had issues regarding the audio quizzes or supplementary lessons' being coupled with the wrong set of questions. I've contacted the Learn French with Alexa team a few times to report these mistakes, and they've usually (but not always) been fixed right away.

I paid upfront for an annual subscription, and I used the site almost daily for the first 25-ish (out of 40) lessons in the hope that it would be useful (and because I was too timid to try live classes), but as time wore on, it was less and less helpful, and about 5 months in, I finally stopped using the site except for once or twice a month. One major problem, as others have noted, is that NONE of the instruction is in French. That's fine for the first 5 lessons, maybe, and to reinforce the grammar concepts in English after talking about them in simple French. But there's startlingly little French content in this French class. Around 2 months in, I had to supplement my learning with other free platforms online, and then at the 5-month mark, I realized that this course was not going to advance my French learning effectively or appropriately and that I can get similar lessons elsewhere online from others for free. I've continued my French language learning by taking French speaking classes online via a different platform, and these have helped tremendously.
