The installers arrived on time on both days of the work. Six windows & a door installed within a day & a half. They were professional, courteous, approachable & friendly & got on with the job satisfactorily & even tidied up after themselves. I had one small issue with the door, but once mentioned, it was sorted straight away.
Very happy overall with the whole experience, from the first consultation to the final installation & happy in the knowledge that should any issues arise, First Home Improvements are easily contactable.

"Poor workmanship"
Absolutely appalling customer service, rude installation manager, bad workmanship and although I was told they were flexible to my needs this was not adhered to. From start to finish I encountered one problem after another, I say finish the works have still not been completed which should be done at the beginning of February. As usual once a company has your money they are not interested in you as a customer. You may think why did you pay if you were not satisfied…….the fitters will not leave until you have paid. I have had leaks, multiple damages to my window seals a chunk taken out of my wall and as for the mastic…. If you are considering using this company please make sure you are prepared for disappointment.

Angelika from the Huntingdon came to see us and explained everything and helped us to make the right choices.
I am very happy with the job done by First Home Improvements. The house is warmer, has made a big difference and less noisy. The door makes the house more secured and smooth closing. I am satisfied with the installation team Michael and Patryk because they were clean, quick and finished their job on time, together with good communication throughout. I would re ommmend them to anyone.

"Horrible sales experience in my home…"
I had a ludicrous experience with this company. A home visit was booked to measure up to replace all the windows in my house. Eleven in total. The sales pitch took over an hour and was presented as if to someone who lacked maturity, it was slightly insulting to my intelligence. I was repeatedly asked the same few questions about how well they were doing and how pleased I was with them so far. Over an hour and no windows had been measured and I hadn’t seen any pictures or examples of any windows. Hour two consisted of explaining the ‘deal’ for getting the best price from them. Towards the end of the second hour it became clear to me, perhaps a little late, that this was NOT normal. They presented a ridiculously high quote which I thanked them for and said I would be getting other quotes and would decide once I had gathered all the relevant information from other companies. Then the price was slashed following a (possibly pretend) phone call with head office. BUT I had to say yes or no there and then to engaging them to do the work in order to secure a good price. I made it very clear that I was not someone who would ever make a decision like that on the day. So the pressure was increased for me to take the deal that day!! I am polite so I repeated what I’d already said and added that I needed to get on with my day having given them over two hours of my time.
But they wouldn’t give up. Another phone call and the price came down again. I repeated myself again and said I needed them to go. I was asked what price I would accept? At this point I felt like giving the chubby little lad a smack. But of course that would be wrong. So I asked them to leave yet again and chubby guy started filling out paperwork which he insisted could not be done in the car because head office need to know that they are in my house?? I ended up picking up the sample window and carrying it to the door then standing over chubby guy insisting he take his things and please leave. He finally did, not a happy chubby chap at all and I had the distinct impression his objective was to remain in my house until he broke me and I agreed. He left no paper work, no actual quote to compare with anything else I get, nothing at all I could read over. When I finally got them out of my house I felt utterly drained and slightly shaken. It was a horrible dishonest experience. All I wanted was a simple quote for doing a job. If this company does carry out good honest business I am surprised. I would never book them to do anything for me ever based on their disgraceful behaviour at the point of sale.

We were really pleased with the work of replacement windows in our bungalow.The two lads worked hard and had the job done quickly and efficiently.Jamiie Poulton and Leon Prescott.Plus I really like windows and the finish to the installation.

Comprehensive and Competitive quote, quality products, after sales service and communication throughout. Our installers Rich Werner and Dave Twine did a fantastic job installing the products, they were polite, respectful throughout and cleaned up after themselves daily. They worked really hard and got round any problems that they encountered using their considerable experience resulting in a first class job that we are delighted with.

Justin and Finley removed and replaced new windows over two days. They were punctual. Hard working and cleaned up after them selves. The standard of work is very high class. Would recommend the company and windows to everyone. Thank you First home improvements for honest reliable staff .

"Negative Experience"
We must start by saying that the Salesman himself was very polite and knowledgable and the product appeared very good quality, however this review is regarding the cost of the quotation and the treatment received on the phone the day after our appointment.
During the appointment we were quoted £13,500 for 2 x front doors and 1 x French door, this seemed really expensive and unrealistic. The salesman then immediately gave a second price of around £9K, which we were told was because if we put advertising boards up, we could have money taken off the cost - things were starting to not add up. Then salesman has called his Manager several times, with them reducing the cost even more, to £5k now. How can the price have changed by £8k for the same product?! The salesman, as lovely as he was, was inside our house for over 2 hours, without once telling us any prices. When we asked for some time to discuss this final quotation, the Salesman told us that he could wait in his car for 10 minutes (at 21:30 hours) whilst we had a discussion. We told him we wanted other quotes and wouldn’t be agreeing today, to which he called his Manager back and she could be heard saying “REALLY” down the phone.
My husband received a call this morning from the company. Initially they stated that they had visited us yesterday to quote our windows, which was incorrect as it was doors! Then he was asked if they had quoted us too much and was the price wrong, to which my husband tried to explain that he wasn’t happy with how much the price could be changed and that we wanted to obtain other quotes, to which the person on the phone continually tried to shut my husband down, telling him that the company will call him back again. The person on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional towards my husband, which we felt was because we wouldn’t commit to their sale.
Overall, the salesman (although outstayed his welcome) was pleasant, but the quotations are extremely high for the product and I think if you were to purchase their product and be unhappy or unsatisfied with the end result, I do not believe that this company will be open to correcting any issues.

I would avoid where possible
We had windows installed in November and within 2 days one of the windows developed a huge crack, spotted a scratch in another and beading not fitted correctly,
They were notified immediately of the concerns along with pictures sent
The customer service care is appalling we are still waiting for the windows to be replaced
It has taken several calls and e mails and we still are no further to getting them replaced,
They do not document any conversations and you are told different stories on each occasion the telephone manner of the team are aggressive at times
I regret getting my windows installed by this company
