"New Upvc door "

Needed a new side door on our bungalow after we moved in.
We got first home improvements to come and give us a quote as they made a great job of my daughters windows.
The salesman Tom wasn’t at all pushy and showed us several different options.
Door was fitted 3 weeks later by Michael Goldhawk who was very friendly and made a fantastic job of the door and we are very very happy with it.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for doors or window replacement

The two fitters Jaz Power and Jade Downs were polite ,friendly,and very professional , also tidy and quick in their work , overall very good at their job. They replaced a double glazed unit which had cracked under warranty and it was all handled very well by all concerned.

"Awful service! "

Sent a message to arrange a quote, had a phone call yesterday confirming my area was covered and that they would send someone out to quote, we confirmed my full address and agreed on 19:30 so me and partner would be home, we waited until 21:00 and no one turned up or bothered to contact to say why they wasn’t turning up. No contact from the company the following day, I ended up having to phone back myself to only be told that they don’t actually even cover my area and that I should never have been booked in, in the first place and that they don’t know why they didn’t call me to tell me this and just sat and waited for me to contact them!

"A new door installed to a good standard and attension to detail. "

I chose to have a new door installed. A lot of preparation work was needed. The finished work was well done and looked great, I was happy with this purchase. The fitter took time to attend to the detail and finish. He explained how the lock worked which was more complex than my previous door. The edging was sealed well, I was glad to have lessened the heat loss. I am happy the fitter took his time and did good work.

"Quality product, dubious selling techniques! "

I have given this company 4 stars due to the quality of the product. The sales people, surveyor and the chap who fitted the door were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The office staff kept me informed and most of them were reasonably friendly. The one thing that stops them from getting 5 stars is the style of selling they use. It could be perceived as quite pressurised. They start with a ridiculously high price, reducing it when it’s refused, something to do with how many discounts they give in a postcode area! I wasn’t entirely comfortable with this style of selling, would prefer it if you could just be honest and give a fair competitive price to start off with. You definitely need to engage haggling skills!
