"Company Has No Integrity"

In looking to renew my resident health/life insurance license, I reviewed (2) different organizations WebCE and ExamFX. I ended up selecting ExamFX because they were cheaper than their competitor. I noticed on their main page that they had all of the courses that I would need to satisfy my renewal so I went ahead with the registration. As a part of the registration it was noted that I would have access to the library to 1 full year. Once I completed 17 of the 24 credits needed, I noticed that the ethics course that was previously mentioned as available was not attached to my library. I reached out to the school via email and was told that the course is not available in the state of California, despite there being no verbiage indicating that the course is available only in select states. Initially when I reached out to them, I wanted to educate them to prevent future issues with future patrons, but their choice not to take any accountability shows me that they are intentionally misrepresenting their service and have no plans to correct the issue. I received the runaround through email and phone. I was told that I would need to call their office, when I asked to have someone call me to discuss the email that I sent, and then I was told when I was on the phone that the only way to escalate it was best for me to send the email. I was told that the manager/escalation area was going to side with the persons (Rachel and Lydia) that I had spoke to via email and via phone. From the follow up email I sent I was told that they did not see any reason to escalate the issue; thus denying to do anything about what was happening. The fact that 1.) I now have to go to multiple schools to obtain my full continuing education credits, 2.) The representatives that I spoke to both had an oh well attitude despite the inconvenience, 3.) they have no intentions on correcting the issue 4.) They appear to be intentionally misrepresenting that they do not offer a REQUIRED class as a part of the package, 5.) There is a bait and switch atmosphere of which as a consumer you can be deceived 6.) They expect the consumer to compare and contrast their product offerings to ensure what they said was available is actually showing as available on each individual library is unfortunate. I’m disappointed that something that could have been a quick fix of adding additional verbiage to state something like “Ethics courses not available in all states,” or offering to correct the issue was not done. This company has shown no integrity and as far as I am concerned should not be allowed to sell their products in the state of California when they refuse to properly market their offerings. A small problem turns into a large problem when there is a failure to take accountability and to take steps to prevent recurrent issues. Some places just should not be business.

I passed my Series 66 in 4 weeks with this material. I also passed my state insurance exams. It was easy to navigate and the information was current. Best part, it was cheaper than the competition.

This is the worst CEU or prelicense in any field I have ever purchased. The other comments about where "what is" are spot on. Furthermore the course is not up to date with current Georgia law. Furthermore the landing page to go from chapter to chapter you have to keep in a word document to even get back to where to login.
I recommend Georgia insurance commissioner pull their certification. #2 I recommend you purchase a P^C course from their competitor who is much cheaper, accessible to you the student and sends the book. I am studying and now passing the quizzes whereas with examfx I never passed a single one because their course is scattered and smothered. Poor garbage.
AND if I don't get my money back I will dispute on credit card or sue them. Whatever works.
Having over 700 ceu hours in other professional courses I speak from knowledge and a very good comparison.

"I haven't taken the SIE exam yet"

I haven't taken the SIE exam yet, but I had to come and review this course for the SIE exam. I did think some of the sentence structure in the narrative parts of the course were sometimes badly written. I sometimes read a section and said, "WHAT!?!" out loud because a concept was so poorly explained. But the worst part of the course were the videos. The one gal spoke well and was easy to understand, but talked to the "audience" as if we were all five years old. The other gal spoke too fast, sometimes mumbled, and lowered her voice to a whisper for no reason whatsoever. Everyone in my office agrees with this. These videos MUST be reshot with people wo can speak clearly and at a consistent volume, without sounding condescending.

I absolutely hate this program!
Sentence structure is poor and confusing. Answers don't adequately explain why the answer is correct with respect to "why this answer and not this answer". I am thoroughly frustrated!!

10/3/2023 Updated info: My test prep was for my P&C insurance license; I did pass. However, my view on this test prep remains the same. It is deeply wanting for more clear narrative to teach, not to memorize answers to pass a test. Testing questions were quite different from this prep. A teaching approach using conversational dialogue, rather than legalese, has always been proven to be a better technique to learn. This format is frustrating and prompts re-reading the question multiple times to discern the message. This program needs a huge, contemporary update. Until then, I cannot recommend it's use.

"Do not use for securities"

Let me know that examfx is ok for insurance licensing, this review is solely for securities. I tried to use it for my series 65 and I wasted so much time. It's a terrible program, with long blocks of text in tiny fonts that explains things poorly. It doesnt cover everything you need to know. It has inadequate quizzes on large swaths of material. I thought I was incapable of passing the test. Contrast this with Pass Perfect, which I finally broke down and bought. Frequent quizzes, simple explanations, well written material, lots of white space....I immediately understood the material.

I tried to get a refund from exam fx but they wouldn't give it to me despite the fact that apparently they recognized they're failing in this space and have recently partnered with another company to redo their securities.
