On the 7th August 2022 I was involved in a road traffic incident resulting in me suffering a major brain trauma as well as other injuries.
Following release from hospital after ten days I contacted British Cycling who put me in touch with Leigh Day Lawyers (a membership benefit) and they assigned my case to one of their solicitors Tom Burton.
Tom handled my case throughout and achieved a successful outcome, given my injuries and state of recovery. Tom explained the process of litigation always giving time for me to consider points and ask questions as required. There was always someone available to contact, answering questions which popped up from time to time or giving guidance in the unlikely event of Tom not being available.This I found very reassuring.
The overall outcome has been very successful and I wish Leigh Day and Tom every success in the future. I would certainly recommend them to handle any litigation matters cyclists and others may find themselves in.

Joined the class action on the Woodford claim on a “no win, no fee” basis. Leigh day counted the FCA redress settlement that everyone received as a “win” by them. So I’m worse off using them. Disappointed by the ethics applied here and would never use again.

My bike crash claim took a long time to resolve, due to it being a fairly complex case, but Leigh Day were very good indeed across the 2 and a quarter years of working with me. Professional and with good communication. I would highly recommend them for bike accident claims, and I believe they are subsidised by British Cycling making their rates for such cases very low. I will definitely be contacting them the next time someone runs me over.
