Pretloves provided a first class service in helping with our move from Saffron Walden up to North Yorkshire.
From Lance - who visited our home to give us our quote - and gave us every confidence that Pretloves would do a great job to the guys who did the actual move provided excellent service.
The service provided by the two Barry’s "me to you" (Stuart & Mark) and Martin on the first day was first class. All three were extremely friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and when they did encounter a problem in moving a large cupboard upstairs, they quickly found a solution – by accessing the room through a large upstairs window. Every request was greeted by “no problem” and there was always a smile and a genuine Thank you when we offered them a cuppa. We were very impressed with the personal service provide by the whole team at Pretloves. Thank You

"Excellent service from start to finish"
Excellent service from start to finish. Our completion date changed several times during our moving process and they accommodated us without complaint. The day before completion they came and removed the majority of our stuff making it so easy on the move day. We had to wait 3.5hours for our keys but they were happy to wait, didn’t complain and as soon as we were in they moved us really quickly, staying until 7.30 at night and not leaving until we were 100% happy. Brilliant service and would recommend them to anyone!

"Pretlove's came to our rescue recently…"
Pretlove's came to our rescue recently when we were let down at the last minute (3 days to go) by a different removal firm (never go for the cheapest quote).
A representative came round first thing the next morning, gave us a quote that afternoon, and a team returned the very next day to start the first phase of loading - 3.5 hours.
The whole experience was extremely stress free, the team were very friendly, easy going, but also very professional - we had a very heavy piano that I was particularly worried about, but the team made it look extremely easy to move.
Because the loading was spread across 2 days, it meant that moving day was a piece of cake, and we were fully loaded up and ready to go by 11.15am (9.30 start) - absolutely no stress with looming midday completion times.
Once in the new place, everything was placed correctly in rooms as labelled, everything that needed to be was handled with extra care, and once again was carried out very efficiently.
I can't recommend Pretlove's enough - I hate to think what it would have been like if we had stayed with the original firm, who were only going to turn up on moving day, and with a smaller team.
They say 'you get what you pay for', and in my opinion, that's exactly why Pretlove's have been going for as long as they have, and are as big as they are. I recommend 100%

"Really pleased with the service"
Really pleased with the service. The office were very patient when my move date got changed 3 times before lockdown, then twice after. On the day Tim and Sam were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Sams ability to walk backwards up 2 stairs at a time whilst carrying a wardrobe - he should be in a circus! They persevered to fit my furniture in awkward spaces and even suggested a better layout when my original plan didn’t work. They checked to make sure the right mattresses were going on the right beds etc etc. The guys worked so so hard. A credit to the company. And when it was getting late, they called in some reinforcements to get finished quicker.

"Excellent service"
Our experience with Pretloves has been excellent. Due to building works we needed to move some of our home contents into storage, organised via our insurance company. Craig and his team were punctual, polite, extremely hard working and professional. I felt confident that great care was taken with packing and handling our belongings. Subsequently as the work has taken longer than anticipated it has been necessary to request access to some of our stored items and Anne was so helpful in arranging this for us. So impressed with the service we have received throughout and would definitely use Pretloves for any future moving or storage needs.

"No complaints from us"
No complaints from us. We only gave five days notice and they fit us in. All the chaps were very helpful and polite, even offered to help unpack my car! Nothing was too much trouble when I asked for furniture to be moved. Would happily recommend for both service competitive price.

Pretloves managed the moving and storage of all the furniture and contents of my house. I was extremely pleased with the service they gave both in the office and the removals team who were polite, thoughtful and helpful. The items were in store for 10 months and no items were damaged or broken. Excellent all round.

"Customer service needs improvement"
The 4 removals guys were faultless and did a great job on the day. However, I wish I could say the same for the office staff ... Miss Trunchball springs to mind! We didn't get the keys till 4.45pm. The transfer of monies along the chain were out of our control and our very competent solicitor was doing all she could to hurry the process along. As if it wasn't stressful enough, we had Pretlove calling numerous times demanding we get the keys and asking what we were doing! As it was approaching 5pm we asked for their advice as they had been in business for over 100 years. We were put on hold whilst they discussed, surely this situation had occurred before and was not uncommon? The best solution for them was to move us on Monday, bearing in mind it was now Thursday and we would be homeless with no possessios for 3 days (and of course additional storage and moving costs). This was obviously not an option for us! It was eventually agreed the removals guys could work overtime. We had no choice. They were making money out of our misfortune which was not ideal. It was the only solution for us .... but if the office staff had been more understanding and compassionate then parting an extra half of the original cost of the bill would have been easier to swallow. Customer service at it's worse, maybe if the call was recorded they should go back and review.

"Brilliant service"
Brilliant service ! and our thanks to Charlie,Mark,Buzz,Tom & Craig who worked tirelessly to collect then deliver all our goods over 400 miles away. This is a company you can trust and rely on and their price is more than competitive we would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone. From start to finish they take all the aggro out of moving all staff are courteous and friendly and know there job very well.

I would give them zero stars if possible. Moving is a very stressful process and this company will make it even more stressful.
I made the mistake of not reading any reviews as it was my first big move, don’t make the same mistake as me, please read as many reviews as possible and choose a company who will look after you and your belongings. Certainly that company isn’t Pretlove.
First part of the move to storage went well, they came and took all my things to storage. A month later I booked them to bring everything back on a Friday. On Monday I had a call from the bank to postpone completion for a few days as there was a mistake in the paperwork.
I gave Pretlove as much notice as possible ( five days ) and they agreed to it. Two days later I received an email charging me another £288 for postponing the move five days before it was due.
When challenged and after an hour on the phone with a very patronising lady they changed their mind and instead of 100% now they wanted 60% and I was threatened by them. I had not choice but to pay whatever they decided in the end. I had to pay an extra £178 or I would never have got my things back.
After completion I had to sleep on the floor for seven days as they couldn’t bring my things back. How would you feel if they try to charge you as much as they like and then make you sleep on the floor for seven ?
So far I’ve put up with the rude lady over the phone, paying as much as they wanted and sleeping on the floor for seven day.
Finally The big day has come and when you think nothing else could go wrong they bring everything back and they break my brand new TV and sideboard. But ok things happen and surely they are covered and it will get replaced. Well, two months and about twenty emails later I am still waiting for compensation. You just couldn’t make it up. They are saying that the tv is not covered and all sort of things just not to pay for it. You don’t need any of this stress when you move.
At the end of the day it’s everyones choice whether to go with them or not but like I said at the beginning find someone else who is going to look after you and your belonging.
AVOID THEM AT ALL COST
