Firstly, they advertise their customer support availability from 09:00; simply not accurate. 09:30 and I was still being diverted to a voicemail. Eventually I received a call back and was informed a team meeting occurred at 09:00, so there was no availability. Very misleading.
The Level Two Gym Instructor Online uses non plural terminology (assessment) when discussing the practical element; indicating only one assessment. Once you have paid and you have accessed the course, it transpires there are two assessments; one being a group induction. If you are unable to access a group (work commitments - hence doing the course online, childcare, arranging for three peoples schedule to align etc), they offer to conduct the assessment in person, again defeating the purpose of completing the course online. None of this is made clear prior to paying.
After contacting their sales team, they stated they do not offer any refunds, despite not actually starting the course.
Completely unacceptable behaviour; I question the motivation for the subtle dialogue used and how this would present throughout the course. I requested a letter of deadlock to pursue this externally. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013; I have 14 days to cancel the course for a full refund. Ill be updating this post with an outcome from Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations, and the ombudsman.

I did the Indoor Cycling course at the Wembley location. My Assessor was Alasdair, who was by the door waiting for me upon arrival, which was a nice surprise. Alasdair was very supportive and i learned so much from him. I would definitely take a course with The Fitness Group again.
