Wife booked a car, pre-paid and got a confirmation. on the day of, no one arrived and the contact phone numbers were not working.

Having made a booking for a taxi to an airport and having pre paid online, hummingbird cars cancelled the booking at the last minute leaving me having to find a new taxi company with available drivers.
Almost a year later I am still trying to get the money refunded!
I would never use hummingbird cars again and would never pre pay for a booking. My advise is do not use this company!

Replaced parts that were NOT worn& failed to replace parts when they claimed to have done so and naturally when confronted denied any wrong doing!
Not just extortionate dealers but thoroughly insincere!

"Unacceptable car ,service and extra charge"

I did booking for transfer from Heathrow to London and the cost was 55.10 £ for 5 people two carryons plus 4 suitcases (I brought one extra suitcase) but the car was small for 5+2 carryons +4 suitcases
They provide MPV ( small model)
Not only that but they changed me 10 pounds extra for waiting (it took 55 minutes from my booked time to the pick up)
The officer was arrogant and threatened me to stop the car in the middle of the journey
I was very disappointed and unhappy with the service
Will never book any trip from them

Booked airport pickup 24 hours on advance. Received 2 confirmation emails. The driver did not arrive or call. The office kept telling me that the driver is not answering. Had to use public transport at the end.

"Incredibly aggressive"

Incredibly aggressive, thinly-veiled thieving. You'll be lucky to get the job you paid for. When their drivers do actually turn up they are really grumpy and unhelpful. They cancelled mine and didn't refund despite multiple very polite calls and emails. I caught them out in several lies on the phone. Don't use your credit card with them whatever you do. I would fear for my safety getting in one of their cars. They had clearly saved my number so they didn't have to answer my calls about the refund too.

Would recommend Humming bird. My Sales Guy was Levi very helpful guy. Even offered to come in on his day of for me to collect car Car was Immaculate many thanks

What happened to this company? I’ve used it many times over 2 years and got many of my business colleagues in TV and Film using them too. Tried to book a taxi to heathrow today, received our confirmation, then a follow up email saying the online price was “wrong”, and sent a new confirmation raising the price without our consent. The email was signed off “see you tomorrow” despite the booking being for 2 days beyond. Cue an astonishing phone and email exchange with a representative who insisted that we couldn’t have paid the lower prices before (despite numerous email receipts), told us we wouldn’t find cheaper (we did), that I was getting angry “unnecessarily” (when I noted that this was bad trading standards and a bait-and-switch style pricing practice) and someone who insisted on calling me “dear” in a condescending and passive aggressive way, even when I asked him not to (he said he was just “being polite, because he’s always polite”).
I am sure the company owner will never sadly hear of this exchange, unless Trading standards get in touch with them. Anyway. The point is I will never contact them again and my colleagues will be made aware of too. Sad times when a once reliable and friendly company goes down the toilet! Based on recent reviews, sounds like I’m not the only one.

I have used the online quote for a one way trip to Heathrow and was given a price of £47. Minutes later I received an email from HummingBird Cars saying that because it's Christmas I have to pay 50% extra. Why is that HummingBird Cars ?, does fuel cost more on Christmas day ?
Unreliable company, would not recommend it.
