"Unbelievably poor tech support"
They sell themselves on roaming but currently in Europe and my wife hasn't been able to answer any inbound calls for over a week. Various excuses from sim not registering on the network (but it has as it rings, and outbound calls ok, and texts ok) to it can't be resolved until we are back in uk. Refuse to give any timescales to the point that they refuse to confirm that they will sort it before we next go away. Unbelievably poor service.

"Superb"
Absolutey faultless from downloading android app, ordering the SIM to delivery.
I work in various countries throughout the EU for 5 months or so per year and haven't had a problem obtaining signal or the full 100gb data allowance. It has allowed me to cancel my account with freemobile.fr thats a saving of €24.99 per month. It is so handy getting the full data allowance rather than be limited to 13GB as I was with three/smarty.
I have recommended popit to many friends and colleagues.

"Pipit Sim warning"
I bought a POPIT sim last week and activated the sim and started porting my old number to the new sim. The number that came with the Sim is now not working and the my old number is also now not working so I have a sim that is about as useful as a chocolate fire guard and I am still paying for it. The help desk does not have a call facility and haven’t been able to resolve the issue. If I don’t get this sorted by Monday I will be referring the issue to the regulator as you feel like you are banging your head against a brick wall with their help desk.

"The next day delivery wasn’t"
The next day delivery wasn’t! But just got it in time for European trip (6 weeks). The set up was relatively easy in a new MiFi. It does tend to loose connection during driving. And clearly I can’t fiddle with it whilst driving. So became a nuisance. But once settled the signal quality and speed where enough for day to day internet and the occasional streaming in both France and Spain. As expected the next month renewal was ahead of the 30 days and it continue to work well.
On return to the UK I wanted to put it on hold and was advised the UK use must be at 100% to be able to do this. There is little information on the app, to show where this is, but established I’m at 69%. With my renewal date looming, I’m not sure how I’d get to 100% in time. This means I may have to cancel the account and post the sim back to not incur another £25. Very 90’s! And not what I was expecting. Other users seem to have faultless change over when returning from Europe. For me it’s all too much of a faff, especially as I didn’t use my whole allowances for 2 months, I’ll sort something else for a trip, later in the year.

"I have mixed feelings about Popit"
I have mixed feelings about Popit. I bought 100gb contract for a 5g mifi to be used while touring in France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. Everyone I spoke to said 100gb a month would be plenty, however we ran out of data after 20 days! You cannot top up except at an extortionate price. I installed a data monitor and scoured the internet for how to reduce data useage and implemented them all and the data useage I monitored did not seem to match up with what Popit were recording. It would be very useful if you could 1. Top up at a reasonable price 2. Somehow monitor useage or have advice on their website to reduce useage and 3. Improve their website. As far as download and upload speeds, they were good everywhere.

"Tried to switch from EE to Popit…"
Tried to switch from EE to Popit because of EE’s prices. SIM arrived promptly. Activation worked. Trying to switch over the number, it all went wrong. Popit’s website needs serious work. Followed directions for porting number. An error SMS arrived first, then an SMS to say that PAC code was received and porting would happen. It didn’t. The guy on chat simply said it was my fault and to try again. Ended his chat. I just couldn’t cope with the might-it-switch-over-today and the chat experience. I ended up cancelling by email. That was prompt and good. I wish Popit could get its act together - principally on website and maybe chat service. It offers a great sounding product and maybe I will look at them again in one year.

"Popit Mobile - for improved data speeds!"
I chose to move to Popit Mobile because I wanted the benefit of the quick data speeds of the EE network which underpins their service.
It took some extra time for my number to transfer over, but once that was complete, I haven’t looked back
Data speeds are proving to be significantly better than my previous provider, which means I can use my phone as it should be used and get the full benefit from it.
If you are frustrated with the speed of your mobile data service, then definitely take a look at Popit Mobile.
