Damaged Shipment & Lack of Support – Disappointing Experience
Dear R2bike team,
I’ve been a long-term customer and recently placed another order — a saddle, a Muc-Off funnel, and 5 liters of Muc-Off concentrate bike cleaner, including shipping.
On the day of delivery, the courier suddenly failed to deliver — which was odd, since we were at home and have a designated safe place for deliveries via the app. The status then changed to “package damaged and returned to sender.” No proactive communication from R2 whatsoever.
After reaching out to support, I received a reply proposing to cancel the damaged item (obviously the concentrate) and resend the rest. The non-damaged parts arrived shortly after, but now you refuse to refund the concentrate, claiming you’re waiting for an investigation.
Let’s be clear:
This package never reached me.
You already acknowledged the damage.
You already resent the remaining items, meaning the damaged one is with you now.
Meanwhile, R2 misses out on another couple of thousand euros in potential business. Sad, but this is how it goes when loyal customers get treated like this. If this is the level of “support” offered — robotic replies and refusal to take responsibility — then I’m happy to take my business elsewhere.
I’ll now be escalating this matter legally. Your support agent has one job: support. Not delay, deny, or deflect. A shop without functional support has no added value — and R2 seems to be heading in that direction. There are plenty of alternatives.
Having seen how you sometimes respond to negative feedback — with snappy, arrogant, and dismissive comments — I’ll be sitting here with my popcorn, ready to screenshot whatever reply you fire back, to add to the file I’m building.
