I recently left some medication in a hotel in London. I realised when I was on a train to Exeter. DCS were the only ones that would help me as other companies wouldn’t accept medication. Fortunately for me I spoke to Aimee. It is almost impossible to get through to the hotel where I stayed. Both Aimee and I made many many calls but she eventually succeeded through sheer persistence. However when the courier went to the hotel he was told there was nothing for me. From this point Aimee went above and beyond over several days to eventually achieve a collection and delivery of my medication. I am on holiday from Australia for 2 months so really needed to get the medication back. I really can’t thank her enough and DCS for achieving something that at times looked impossible due to the mammoth task of contacting the hotel.

Absolutely terrible service throughout! Originally instructed this company to collect a car bumper from a well trusted and established vehicle breakers, after a few other couriers rejected due to size. From the offset I was jubios after filling out the most basic of forms on the website and not being offered to read any terms and conditions prior to submitting a request of service. No option to purchase additional insurance cover for more valuable items like I had taken out with several other reputable couriers. Item was not collected on the day that was confirmed to me and upon enquiry was told it was down to TNT but no reason as to why, they then assured me it would be collected the following day of which it was. I was sent a tracking number which failed to bring up any tracking or real time locations and was given a delivery date of the following day up until 6pm. I waited in all day with my 2 very small babies and at 5.50pm realised that this wasn't going to arrive as I had been previously informed. I tried to contact DCS but were closed so I initiated a online chat with TNT. They informed me that I shouldn't have been issued a delivery date as the item hadn't even passed through the main sorting hub, then readvised that it would be delivered the following day. Once again waited in all day to no delivery! Contacted DCS and was informed that the item hadn't been checked in with TNT and was currently misplaced 🤣, after all, it's only a tiny car bumper hey!!! Mike who I spoke with who subsequently turns out to be the owner and director was very abrupt and immediately started to negate responsibility for the missing item, he proposed it was the original vehicle dismantlers at fault for not attaching the courier label to said item. I rallied back and forth with Mike regarding accusations that my contact at the dismantlers was at fault with various reasons everytime I satisfied the last accusation. TNT driver was on cctv declining to wait 30secs to attach the label, loaded up the item and threw the bumper into the van in haste. We offered DCS the cctv footage to help track the driver but was made aware by DCS that TNT do not contact drivers over missing items as that was their protocol 🤦. Nearly 1 week on and at a loss of deposit from paint shop due to having no item to paint and the item was still untraceable. After myself constantly chasing DCS and liasing with several unhelpful call handlers I was finally advised that TNT required 3 more days to conduct a depot search, after no avail from this I was further advised that TNT now required 10 further days to conduct Security searches which entailed cctv footage reviews of depots and sorting hubs. Surprise surprise this turned out to be negative with not a single track of this item at any given point. I advised DCS that I was planning to take this negligence, theft? further as all TNT's protocols were pointless and I was at a far greater financial loss through the time lapse. Finally TNT accepted this item was LOST and to file a compensation claim to recover any lost monies. ONLY at this point did DCS start to reveal clauses outlined in their terms and conditions that they would not be able to claim for the actual value of the item but would defer to TNT's £15 per kilo policy...far far less than the item cost price! Realising I was never going to get this saga to reach a suitable conclusion and after many many phone calls chasing DCS, I requested the compensation to be transferred. With one final twist thrown in, to conclude the compensation albeit at a financial deficit, DCS requested a cost price invoice to make sure I wasn't trying to claim a higher value than paid...DESPITE their protocol that didn't even cover the value 😳!!! DCS...before you try and negate blame for an appalling service, terrible customer services and a loss of time chasing you up with in excess of 20 calls, I have all evidence, both pictorial and telephone recordings of our conversations. Accept your liability and move on, I had to. A STARK WARNING TO ANY FUTURE CLIENTS ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
