"Very helpful and knowledgeable"

I lost my keys so called this company. Technician Martin showed up after 25 minutes, opened the door for me in no time, explained the difference between types of locks and put new high security lock. Top class!

"Amazing service"

Amazing service from Dan, arrived quickly and got me in my house in no time, even tho my old lock gave up. He tuk me through the job, explained everything on spot and had all replacement parts already with him.

Would not even give them one star dreadful service states 15 minutes on website agreed within 1-2 hours was 3.5 hours and still not been or had a phone call despite ringing them twice to chase up. Disappointing service (in fact no service at all!) and would not recommend to anyone and didn’t even get to the stage of payment which according to the reviews I have since read was also not good. Do not use please ../:

"Andre great guy"

I had a locksmith come do an emergency lock to gain entry to my back door it took him 2 hours and he had to come back to fit the new lock.i wasn't happy with the new lock it wasn't the best fit so got back in touch with the locksmith who agreed to come back out and sort out the lock which he did the following day Andre is a genuine nice guy and he also refunded me 150 for the in convenience .he also mended my bottom lock free of charge very polite mannered guy and kept his promise to right the work .

Sadly I would not recommend this company. I was quoted a price of £59 + VAT with no call out fee. On arrival the lock smith, without even inspecting the problem with the door said it would be £250 + VAT. There followed quite some negotiation which was very uncomfortable for me and price of £170 was agreed. In the end it took the lock smith less then 5 mins to open the door. He still charged £170.
I called the manage to complain. While someone did call me back I was offered no satisfactory resolution, indeed I was told that as it was a sub-contractor who came they could do nothing.
Wholly unsatisfactory and definitely not what is promised on their website.
I also note that their trust pilot rating is very low, not the excellent 4.5 * shown on their website.

This company quoted £59 + vat to my elderly mother in law and her partner after she made the mistake of calling them following a Google search, knowing no better she booked him without us knowing. He arrived, clearly took advantage of two vulnerable people (partner is aged 90 with dementia). He carried out work that did not need doing and tried to charge £320. My husband called to intervene after mother in law got worried and I headed to the address, when he knew someone was coming the Cowboy reduced the price to £240 cash which he made them pay and left before I could get there.
Did not leave an invoice/receipt/card.. I have had to battle him for screenshots of this and he is now refusing contact.
The phone number is 07393645566 so beware. The email on the paperwork is solidservicesgroup at gmail dot com. He confirmed he works for EM Locksmiths in line with Solid Services Group.
We will be going to Trading Standards and whoever else we can to raise the alarm about this scammer.

Not to be recommended. 'Locksmith' went straight in with a drill and destroyed the lock, handle and a bit of the door. Their website reads, "Don’t trust “cowboys” who will start drilling before you blink an eye." Then, instead of the £59 plus VAT quoted, we get a bill for £125 despite the call centre saying they did this kind of job all the time. I could have done the same job with my neighbours drill and tools - instead I was expecting expertise and some clever techniques. The icing on the cake was the contractor wanted to charge us over £200 more for a replacement lock and handle. I declined. This company wants you to believe they're local to you but they are a national set up using a variety of contractors. They have a graphic on their website stating they average 4.5 stars on Trustpilot. The graphic doesn't link and if you go to directly to Trustpilot and look them up you'll see it's actually two stars with loads more one star review comments like this from unsatisfied customers.

The business model for this company appears to be to extort money from their customers. They may fix a broken lock, but they then charge extortionate prices to fit a new lock. Their tradesman refused to leave the house until we paid, and also made statements about the cost of replacement parts that were just downright lies. The company refuses to engage in a discussion about their prices and have just said they are entitled to charge whatever they want.

Their website implies that they have lots of favourable reviews and agin this is not true.

Like others who have left notes I plan to contact trading standards and other organisations that may prevent them from operating in this way

Just like everyone else the price quoted doesn’t conform to the price charged. Rip off!!
