"Great but…"

I ordered a Sea Eagle inflatable duo kayak back in the spring of 2021. Due to pandemic supply chain issues it was estimated by Recreation Outfitters to take until mid- August for delivery. I checked in Early August on the timing and they said they expected Sea Eagle to still deliver by mid August. By mid- September we still had no kayak. I had to check back with RO again on the kayak. They offered me a full refund ( which was reasonable) but I still really wanted the boat. No ETA or follow up provided at this point. It showed up about a week later.

Overall great price and service but the lack of follow up on timing was a small negative, so a four instead of five.

RO was notified and they immediately shipped a replacement and made followup contact to verify. Great customer service.

"April Order with a September Delivery - Goodbye summer!"

We ordered our tandem kayak in April with a stipulated delivery date of end of May. Two weeks later (after you had charged our credit card) you advised that the delivery date was now August 31 (which coincides with the end of summer in Ohio). Then the delivery date was moved to October and we had to change the delivery location to our son as we would not be there to receive it. And then you delivered it in September, right before we left Ohio. Needless to say, we did not open it or test it in any way to ensure it's what it's supposed to be. We'll do that in May. I sure hope everything is in tact and if it isn't that we have some recourse. This was not cheap. In response you say I can return it within 30 days. Tough to do when we aren’t in Ohio till May.
