"Fraudulant company"

I have been a member of Rakuten for over three years. Initially things were running smoothly, however as of last year I have seen a sharp decline in Rakuten. They offer little cash back, I frequently have to chase down my cash back. When I reach out to Rakuten support that state that they haven't received confirmation from the merchant. As of late, things have taken a turn for the worse. They don't offer cash back for large purchases and when merchants raise their cash back rate. They often site excuses that I am not starting my shopping trip with Rakuten, that the merchant doesn't offer cash back on certain brands, that I used another cash back service, etc.

I am NOT the least bit impressed by this company. Rakuten gets a cut from your purchase, but refuses to give you your share. This is a corrupted and fraudulant company. Beware! Think twice before you sign up with them.

If I am not credited my owing cash back of over $100, I will be taking further recourse.

"False Promises and Unpaid Cashback"

I signed up for Rakuten Canada several months ago and made purchases through their platform. According to Rakuten's terms, my cashback was supposed to be credited to my account within 3-4 months. However, over a month has passed since the deadline, and I have yet to receive my cashback.

I have contacted Rakuten's customer support three times, and each time I was assured that the issue would be resolved within a few business days. Unfortunately, no action has been taken. I have also sent three emails, all of which have gone unanswered.

Rakuten's live chat support is now unresponsive, stating that no one is available to assist.

My experience with Rakuten Canada has been extremely disappointing. The false promises, lack of customer support, and failure to pay out cashback are unacceptable.

I strongly advise against using Rakuten Canada.

I have been a member for a few years and would not recommend this company. Any time I’ve tried to redeem, the bank won’t accept their cheques. I’ll complain, they’ll issue me a new one that won’t be accepted either. This has happened 4 times and they can’t help me. It’s a waste of time.

I never see the credits no matter how I go through them first. When on the merchants site and purchase it - It’s never followed by a Rakuten credit. It’s systemic.

I've been using Rakuten for years with no problems up until last year. Like other loyal customers that have reviewed, I've followed the directions as stated, and yet they keep denying all my cash back for vague reasons.

Very transparent business practices and prompt payments without any hidden fees or fineprint that can miss your eyes. Tops it all with great deals. What more could you ask for?!
