"Not what they were"

I had a pair of le chameau leather line boots for many years and loved them. They were mistakenly thrown out during a house clearance. I bought a new pair in March of 2021 which developed a leak while under warranty - a split in one heel - and a replacement pair was supplied. The replacement pair now leak - a gusset split on the left boot, the sole split on the right -and are outside of the warranty period of the original boot. I still wear them as they are so comfortable - just not in wet conditions. One pair may be looked over as faulty - to then get a second pair with different faults is something else. . . . . I shall look for a different manufacturer.

Pretty annoyed, I must say. Had bought a voucher had asked if they could return the money, no not possible, then found a pair, they debited but no order was placed. Should have been refunded after some days, which still hasn't happened. To pay like more than 400£ for boots and then this is quite annoying.
