"Return policy is very strict for a boots which don't fit everybody"
Boots was the right size but did not fit well around the ankle.
Very minor soiling on the sole from being close to workboots in the house while waiting for return, with no indication of wear resulted in rejected return of 200 pound boots with no option to rectify the issue.
If you want to buy this brand, try it in store, do not believe in internet returns.

Service client disponible au téléphone, réactif et ultra compétent. N’hésitez surtout pas à appeler si vous avez un doute sur la taille des bottes. Ils peuvent mesurer les modèles pour vous ! Produits d'une grande qualité et envoi soigné. Merci à Marine pour les conseils, la bonne humeur et l'esprit commerçant. Au final super expérience client même si les échanges de produits ne sont pas encore possible (renvoi/remboursement à la place).

"Disappointed with Customer Experience"
I recently purchased a pair of boots and wore them briefly outdoors to test them. During this test drive, I noticed they were too big and wanted to exchange them for the correct size. Many reputable companies allow light outdoor use as part of a reasonable trial period, but this company counted the boots as “worn” and refused a replacement.
What’s more disappointing is that they claimed there was a scratch on the boots, which simply wasn’t true. Honesty in such situations would have gone a long way in building trust.
Unfortunately, this experience has left me questioning their approach to customer service. I hope they reconsider how they handle such situations in the future.

"Shocking customer service and delivery…"
Shocking customer service and delivery service . I ordered a pair of boots which were scheduled to be delivered the next day by DPD . I was not going to be in , so rather than them being left in my porch I asked for them to be left with my neighbours who are retired and in all day , an email confirmed that this request had been logged . I then went online to track the parcel only to find it’s been delivered, and a photograph of an unknown gate and my boots . I went up the road looking in gateways and couldn’t see them so called customer services and spoke to Zoe . She told me the tracking said they were left at no 39 ( 4 doors up ) so go there and they haven’t . So call Zoe back and she tells me I must fill in a lost parcel form for DHL , which I did and sent back within a few hours . I had NO response to say they had received the email . So on the Monday sent another email to chase things up….again no response . Then my boots turned up 6 days later, they had been delivered up the road and in a back garden near the shed ! So I emailed Zoe to advise that they’d turned up and I received a response straight away . I now wish to return the boots and get a full refund , we will see if they can manage that …..So not at all impressed with the way the loss of my parcel was dealt with by Le Chameau at all and I will not be purchasing from them ever again . As for the quality of the boots I’m told they’ve gone downhill since they no longer manufacture in France to save on cost and if you are a farmer you might be interested to know that Lord Alli ( Labour donor ) is a director and major shareholder of Le Chameau .
** Re your reply . So you expect a customer to wait for what could be several weeks to resolve a lost parcel case ? Meanwhile the customer who has paid £180 for a pair of boots is expected to wait until a conclusion is made between yourselves and DPD ? Surely it would be good practice to send another pair of boots out to the customer or offer a refund ?

Very very poor customer service and loyalty. Refused to accept return as boots "worn and muddy" . I admit, I put them on to realise they were too big. That was it. So yes, worn and worn once. The boots are spotless clean and the company just hides behind its inflexible returns policy. I would expect more from a premium brand. This was the third and last pair of wellies I will buy from them.
..... thanks for the reply. Next time I won't try them on and just "imagine" how they will fit.
