"Disappointed"

Hi Team, We're the tenants here in Becketts House and staying here since 4-5 months and from yesterday the Cooking hob is not working and it's not fixed yet. We're dying without food. We have expected it would be fixed soon. Totally disappointed.

"Absolute shambles of a company!!"

Absolute shambles of a company!!! Avoid if you can. Lived without a heating for a year. Once moved out they tried effectively steal money from my deposit. If you do use them make sure you record everything on video prior moving in and take lots of photos yourself. This company tried to charge me for a shadow on a picture that they took saying it damage. Absolute joke, they will never answer the phone and will ignore you until you have no choice but to move out.

Myself and my partner wish we had taken into account all the reviews on this page before taking on the contract.

Paid a holding deposit (to take off market)

Paid 1 months rent (minus the holding deposit)

Paid our damages deposit

We then paid the pro rata amount of For 25th October - 1st November

So the. Thereafter we have been paying our rent plus the car parking but we have been told we have double to pay on our second to last week, this was the response I got.

‘Regarding your payment schedule, the amount you paid in rent was significantly lower in the first month of your tenancy as agreed and so there is a catch-up pro-rata cost in the final month to add to the total due over the course of tenancy. The total figure is equal to your rent amount over a 1 year period’

Why was this NOT explained to us properly? Had this have been explained we wouldn’t have thrown ourselves essentially into the ‘lions den’ no consideration either for peoples mental health and well-being.

Secondly the maintainence side.
When we first moved in we noted a number of issues. We also noticed some bugs that were in cardboard later to find they are silver fish and been told that is our job. There is NO ventilation in the bathroom so they are being attracted how are we supposed to prevent that? The extractor fan does not work properly but apparently according to them it’s fine! UTTER RUBBISH!!! Why should we put up with This when they are already there?

We deffo want to see the back of this place sooner rather than later!!

"HR Manager is excellent and goes above and beyond"

I needed to contact Vita, thr HR Manager as I have started a new role and needed a reference to be provided to my new employer, Vita was excellent and responded to my request immediately and the reference was sent in a couple of hours. Vita was always excellent and supportive when I worked at BRNS and I cannot say how excellent and professional she is. Thank you Vita.

i live in this property and all i can say is i will not be renewing my contract!

poor management of the building, never pick up the phone. extra hidden fees after moving in! extremely disappointed wish i saw the reviews first

"Maintenance never been a worry"

This group has handled maintenance on my block for a couple of years, and they've always handled my queries and faults very quickly, which is appreciated. This includes main lights going out (fixed within a day) and washing machine failing (also onto this at once). The operators and third parties have varied a lot (which is why I knock off a star) but phone/email comms prompt and reassuring.

"Useless"

Useless. No return of deposit, demanding extra rent despite showing them bank statements. They are a criminal organisation frankly. No reply to email, never pick up the phone. Total shambles. Dishonest company. Rotten to the core these people. Shame on Bernard Spitz the company owner!
