"Scotland/Ireland EJ tour"
Returned from Enrichment Journeys trip and cruise to Scotland and Ireland. The itinerary was great and the main reason we selected this trip. The local tour guides were very knowledgeable and made the trip most enjoyable. The hotel were located in good areas and the scheduled tours and entertainment was excellent. This was our third EJ trip and the best one yet.

"Great guide in Ireland"
The guide in Ireland was wonderful. The itinerary was a nice mix. We even had an opportunity to see a friend in Belfast that we met on a previous cruise. We missed the rain in Ireland and had the sun in Norway all the way to the Artic circle. The hotel locations were perfect. The Guiness glass from EJ was thoughtful and will be a great remembrance of this trip.

"Fun filled quality adventure"
From start to finish our trip was fun and we didn't have to concern ourselves about any details. We were well looked after, our accomodations and meals were wonderful and our tour guide was so much fun and so informative.
The itinerary was pretty fast paced but we loved the fact that we were able to see and experience so much in the time that we were on tour, no wasted time!
Great big shout out to Lloyd Millett for making every minute of our time fun. We really felt cared about and enjoyed every tour that we did and all the information that we were given.
Having Joe Jennings join us for this trip was another plus, he is all over everything and went above and beyond on several occassions.

"We loved the Iguazu pre-tour and tours in Rio"
We loved the Iguazu pre-tour. It ended up to be a private tour with a wonderful guide, Antonio. The Bourbon Eco Resort was a great hotel with a nice little rescue zoo. It was walking distance to a shopping mall which was convenient. Seeing both sides of the falls was perfect. We really enjoyed dinner the first night at the hotel. The lunch buffets at the national parks at the falls were poor. It would have been better to not include lunch. We could have snacked and had more sightseeing time, then an include dinner at the hotel those nights too would have been best. There really were not other restaurants around and the hotel food was good. We really appreciated the prompt transfers on both of our arrivals at the airport (Andre and Sergio) in Rio and being met by Antonio in Iguazu. The Miramar hotel in Rio was great. The location on Copacabana beach near the end leading to Ipanema beach allowed us to take long walks and see the sunset over the beach. We felt safe with all the police presence. The tours were all great and we enjoyed the speciality drink making on Sugar loaf mountain. Our guide Sergio was good but not great. He was timely and competent. The dinner at the hotel the first night was great. The included lunches and the farewell dinner were poor. The steak houses are a tourist traps and the food was not good. The farewell dinner was at Fogo de Chao, a chain restaurant which we have here at home. It was very crowded and noisy with poor service and food. Wine was not included which is expected at a farewell dinner. Everyone in our group said the dinner would have been much better at our hotel which we enjoyed the first night. The bus driver was very good and our transfer to the airport smooth. The included tour in Salvador was good, but not great. It would have been good to do a walking tour from the port and take the special big elevator up to the top for the views. We saw only 2 of the 3 scheduled museums since our ship docked late, which was fine. The included lunch was good but took way too much time out of our touring time. Service was slow.
Note: We had a glitch on our first day arrival (3/6) at the Miramar Hotel. They said they did not have our reservation. After a phone call they confirmed our room. They upgraded our room to ocean front for the inconvenience. Also your company told us the hotel would store one piece of luggage each during the time we were at Iguazu falls. They told us they never do that because they have a very small luggage room and worry about security. We showed them our written documents that you provided and eventually the manager agreed to store our luggage for those 3 days. It appeared both of these issues may have been communication between Enrichment Journey personnel and hotel staff during the time of making the reservation.

"The tours were too long"
The tours were too long. the first one was 12 hrs on the bus and the second one was 11 hours on the bus . this was due to traffic.
We are sorry we did not see many of the scenes that are advertised. we did not see any nice places with the clear water and lovely flora. At least one of these places would have been nice.
The trip to the orchid gardens was wonderful.

"Traveled with Enrichment Journeys…"
Traveled with Enrichment Journeys numerous, and enjoyed every trip. Was everything always perfect - no, but it was as close to perfection as one could expect. I will continue to use ER every time I travel, if they're offering something to my liking!!! My most current trip was to Florence, Siena and the Tuscany area, followed by a trans-Atlantic cruise to Fort Lauderdale on the Celebrity Beyond. REALLY had a great 3 weeks!!!!

"We never took this enrichment journey…"
We never took this enrichment journey because I had a medical issue. It’s been a little over eight weeks and I still haven’t received any information about non-refundable fees or costs, so that I can give them to my insurance company for a refund.
