5 star everything! *****
We have just returned from a weekend in George's Getaway and could not fault a thing! From booking to departure everything was amazing. Fantastic location, beautiful property with everything you could possibly think of and fabulous touches throughout. From the birthday banner and cakes on arrival, the to gorgeous decor, wonderful hot tub, stunning grounds and animals and not to mention the igloo for a special nights sleep, everything was just great! We cannot wait to book again and would highly recommend this place to all!!

Highly recommend. Lovely accommodation (we stayed in the chicken shed), great location, the owners were so helpful and a lovely welcome box on our arrival. We enjoyed having the alpacas out the front and a variety of birds out the back. Great for children, teenagers, parents and grandparents. We definitely plan to visit again.

Definitely one of the BEST place to stay!!!! Everything is so clean, well decorated, well equipped and neatly instructed!!! When we entered the room we could find letters which made us very happy ( heartwarming welcome) fruit, milk and even cupcakes! Hot tub and bbq equipment was absolutely fantastic as well. As hot tub gets hot enough we could get into it at night when outside is freezing. We also enjoyed our times with alpacas and pony.
Only stayed for 2 nights but wished we could stay there much longer!

Wow just wow. The host was excellent in her correspondence. The lodge was exceptional and super clean. Fabulous get away for a family or couple. I can honestly say a felt so relaxed, kids loved the animals. Facilities at the lodge were brilliant. Wifi for teenager really good.

Absolutely lovely break had by family ranging in ages from 9 to 74! The accommodation, its location, all the little extras left by Jo were just wonderful. We loved the alpacas just out the front of the chicken shed and the amount of birds we spotted out the back. Highly recommend you will not be disappointed.

"Amazing stay at George’s Getaway"

The experience of staying at Winchcombe Farm was fantastic from start to finish. We booked for 4 nights as our honeymoon but our wedding had to be postponed fairly last minute. I got in touch with the owners to see if the lodge was available for our ‘would be wedding night’ and was so lucky that we were able to start our stay early, adding an extra 2 nights. The communication was excellent.

The location was perfect, it was so relaxing and we loved seeing the alpacas and sheep every day. Our lodge was modern, exceptionally clean and well kept. The attention to detail in the lodge was evident and small touches, like fresh flowers, really made it special. We felt welcome and very well looked after.

Unfortunately for us, all the lodges are booked for the weeks following our new wedding day so we’re unable to go back for our honeymoon part 2 but we will definitely be returning another time for another luxurious stay!

A wonderful place to spend a few days. My two daughters 7 and 9 loved it. The owners went to a lot of effort to welcome us.

An absolute must! A fabulous place with fantastic hosts. Our accommodation was spotlessly clean with top of the range appliances. Our weekend was filled with making pizzas using the pizza oven, stargazing out of the stargazing pod, feeding the alpacas and ponies and taking a walk to a beautiful windmill, just to name a few. We will definitely be going back.
