We had a lovely couple of days in Ben’s Burrow. The lodge is high spec and spacious. The outdoor space with the hot tub, BBQ, pizza oven and hammocks was great. The geodome was a real novelty too.

Jo and her husband were lovely and very helpful if you had any issues. My daughter helped with the Alpacas which she loved.

The reason I have given this stay 4 stars rather than 5 is for the following reasons.

1 Wifi: this was very intermittent and often not at all. When we mentioned it they came over immediately and rebooted the system but sadly this only sorted the problem temporarily. I know from talking to them that this lodge is the last to transfer over to a better system but with 2 teenagers it was trying!! Additionally we tried to watch a Netflix film as a family but the buffering was too bad and had to abandon it.

Instructions: Due to Covid the welcome manual/instructions could not be left so there were instructions sent via email before we arrived. However, when we there we would have liked some instructions on how to use the coffee machine etc.

Having said these things. I would highly recommend going here. It’s a lovely tranquil place with great owners who are very helpful and responsive.

"Staycation at Winchcombe/Chicken Shed"

After being told by someone about the farm, I went on the website and was instantly sold and booked the chicken shed for me and my family. It was everything and more than we expected and was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had! The location is perfect, being from the city it makes a great change to hearing just sheep and not cars! The lodge had everything we needed and they went the extra mile to put a happy birthday banner up and personalised cupcakes! We had a minor problem with putting the heating on but someone came out straight away to fix it! The Bluetooth in the hot tub didn’t work for us but Jo gave us plenty of other solutions! Would highly recommend and would definitely book again for even longer next time! Already having withdrawal from the ponies and alpacas that were our friendly neighbours 😍
