"I would recommend a pass"

The sound is good, but overall the design is poor. The headphones move around inside the headband quite easily and are off the ears in little time if you move while trying to sleep. The battery pack is clumsy and also moves around inside the headband and puts pressure into the back of head or side of head as it moves if you change positions while sleeping. The lightweight band is quite warm and uncomfortable across the forehead… if you don’t like socks when you sleep, you won’t like this product. I had not the highest expectations, and sadly not even those were met. This is my first review of anything on line. Wait til something better comes out.

"Excellent Customer Service by Acoustic Sheep!!!"

While I've been an Acoustic Sheep customer for several years, and tried other less expensive alternatives sold on Amazon, the 'sleepphones' positively outclass the alternatives.

I had purchased one of the more expensive sleepphones and toward the end of the warranty period, the Bluetooth module went bad. After writing to customer service to see what I could do, I wasn't getting a response, so I decided to give up and switch back to using the cheaper alternative sold on Amazon. (hard plastic that hurt my ears)... Which, after thinking about the sleepphones, I decided to try one more time and reach out to customer service.

I received a reply, and after explaining my situation, the customer service folks at Acoustic Sheep offered to send me (free) a new Bluetooth module!!!

It turns out, the response I was anticipating from Acoustic Sheep customer service probably went to my junk email folder and was deleted without me noticing it!!! So, if you believe you should have received a response from customer service, please check your junk email.

Acoustic Sheep is a small company that seeks to please its customers in the best way possible. Sometimes difficulties take a bit more communication to resolve, though if given a chance, you might discover a more positive solution!

"Just as I'm falling asleep after the…"

Just as I'm falling asleep after the sleep timer cuts the music, they yell into my ears "HEADPHONES ON". They're comfy though.

"No response from customer services"

I emailed twice (including one minute after I ordered) to say that I actually made a mistake and had wanted to buy the more expensive model. Never received a response from their email. Just ignored me. Very disappointing customer service. I am left with the cheaper version which I didn't really want.

"Not worth 178 nzd"

178 nzd is way waaay too much for this product.
- It uses dated tech (who even uses micro USB anymore?)
- The headband isn't comfortable, the headphones keep moving inside it and slide off your ears. You constantly have to fix it.
- Design of the headband I'd terrible. The mechanism sits at the back of your head. The fun part is is has controller on it, so you will keep turning your music off when you lie on your back and the controller will be pressed by the back of your head.
- Charging it is a nightmare. You have to remove it from the headband everything you need to charge it - which is everyday.
- There's no power indicator. All you know is when it's fully charged. Other than that... nothing. Battery level doesn't show - neither on the sleepphones device itself, nor on the phone it's connected to.

"I am a little disappointed"

I am a little disappointed . I was hoping at this price point that these would be of better quality. As it stands they are no better than my $15.00 ones from amazon.
I am a side sleeper and have an issue with the wires bunching around the square earpiece making them very uncomfortable . Also the charging pad slides around pushing the earpieces out of place while I sleep.
Charging is a little strange having to unplug the earpieces to charge the battery compared to just plugging my other set in.
The headband itself is soft and comfortable , not overly warm. It does twist some while I sleep and slides over my eyes . Which could be my fault (maybe measurements were off) . Sound quality is good . The controls are hard to work and adjust while wearing also.
All in all in my opinion the wires are to long , the earpieces should maybe be rounded off a little and maybe secured somehow so all of the pieces don’t bunch together..

"Great Investment"

Absolutely love my sleep headphones. I use them all the time, especially for long flights. They never fall off, are easy to adjust, and are very comfortable! Sometimes I adjust the internal speakers in order to use them as headphones and a sleep mask at the same time. Granted, I've never tried some of the cheaper Amazon options, but I don't have any reason to dislike the ones I have now. The customer support is also incredibly helpful and prompt!

"Do not spend the ridiculous amount of…"

Do not spend the ridiculous amount of money on these headphones! They are not worth it. The cheap ones on Amazon are way better.
For starters they are very hard to charge. You have to remove the battery from the cover in order to do so, which is not easy.
Next, they have no battery level shown on an iPad. I contacted customer support about this and they said it was just difficult to do, however, the cheap ones on Amazon do it.
Next, their customer support is awful. When I contact them about the issues, they sent me back a form letter that even had different fonts in it you could tell it was copied and pasted.
Their only suggestion was to return the product for a full refund which I did.
Their sound is no better than the cheap ones on Amazon, their comfort is no better than the cheap ones on Amazon.
Save your money do not buy this product.

"nice idea, but stil painful"

These are a nice idea, but can cause pain. Yes, they may be the slimmest earpieces available, but they are still a hard plastic disc around 22mm diameter by 2mm thick. It's solid with a fabric covering, so the hard disc still presses against your ear. I understand these are probably piezo speakers and thus need to be encased by plastic, but honestly for me the discomfort can make them unwearable. I've switched back to my £10 pendant earphones.

"Nice, (while they last)"

They're really comfortable and easy to fall asleep in. I love using them, but the lack of durability is frustrating. Between my wife and myself, we've gone through 3 sets of the wired models. In all cases, eventually (less than a year) one ear will stop working. Tried to fix, but tiny wires are hard to solder. Switched to wireless (really nice!) but, less than a year in, they don't hold a charge. Happened to two pairs. Of course, the whole module is overmolded, so trying to replace the battery cells on is probably hard. I guess I may as well try.

Besides the E-waste this creates, they are too expensive to always be replacing. My wife switched to cheap knockoffs (they won't last anyway, so why not save the money). I'm going to see if I can exacto knife open the modules and try to figure out some way to replace the battery cells.

Update: I began investigating the internal construction. It was actually unnecessary to cut the rubber of the module; there is a sticky covering that can be peeled off. Inside, there is a main "brain" and then a flat, square battery module connected by a removable connector. Because of this, it actually appears that a battery replacement would be quite feasible, the main difficulty being that there could be some damage involved in peeling off the cover. However, with care I think this could be replaced, even if some Scotch tape was involved- after all, the module resides in the headband when in use. I don't know where to start looking for a replacement battery though, I do not see any identifying information and it's quite possible it is a custom part. I'm going to double check to see if sleep phones offers replacements.
