THIS COMPANY IS HIGHLY FRADULANT TO EVERY LETTER OF WORD MEANING, KEEP AWAY PLEASE!
I can only repeat what has been said in all other reviews about this company and about its so-called executive Jit (in reality a daylight THIEF)
We as in the same way as others visiting the store in Guildford in May 2022 ordered an Ottoman sofa which was to be delivered latest by beginning of September. October I contacted the them for a delivery date who passed our message to the owner a chap called himself Jit (executive & owner!!) who rang me asking for an extra 3 weeks due to difficulty with exactly the same excuses i.e. materials etc. Later in November I contacted Jit (most likely it's not his real name) by text message requesting a delivery date, he said 'Hello
I'll speak to suppliers today and revert to you.
Best wishes
I didn't hear from him again. I texted him again in December & he told me he had a family bereavement (& Asma) and will let me know a delivery date in 3 days time latest. Didn't hear back from him again. I then texted him again 2x weeks later with no reply. I rang him and he promised our item would be with us in beginning of Jan. A week later still no delivery date- he replied on the 10th of January that he has been unwell and our item is in advanced stage of production and we should have it by end of week otherwise he will refund. We are now in Feb 2023 he has ignored all my messages. Since then I have had sent several messages requesting an instant refund or legal action with still no reply!! He keeps repeating the same rubbish over and over but with no sign of delivery date or refund.
Keep away from this daylight thief & his company.
I'm now considering my options how to act starting perhaps with Citizen Bureau & even maybe starting with a court procedure.

"FRAUDULENT COMPANY"

Visiting the store in Bath in May 2022 me and my husband ordered a sofa which was to be delivered beginning of September. October I contacted the store for a deliveey date who passed our message to the owner Jit who rang me pleading for an extra month due to difficulty with materials etc. November- Once I had my baby contacted Jit by text message requesting a delivery date, he said 'Hello
I'll speak to suppliers today and revert to you.

Jit' I didn't hear from him again. I messaged again in December he told me he had a family bereavement and will let me know a delivery date morning latest. Didn't hear back from him again. I then texted on the 7th & 9th December with no reply. My husband rang him and he promised our sofa would be with us beginning of Jan. 9th of January still no delivery date- he replied on the 9th of January that he has been unwell and our sofa is in advanced stage of production and we should have it end if January. We are now in Febuary 2023 he has ignored all my messages and the staff in the store can't do anything under instruction of Jit they must pass everything through to him. I have had to send a message requesting an instant refund or legal action- he has called me today with absolutely no apology just said his accountant is back Thursday your refund will be done then and put the phone down.

Absolutely disgusting customer service from the OWNER of the company. The staff in the shop are so helpful and feel really sorry for them having such bad management. I have found the sofa manufacturer which he stated was abroad- they are in Nottingham completely UK bespoke made. He is a LIAR and we have now found out he been on a buying trip highly likely with his customers money as I believe we aren't the only people in this position who aren't receiving the goods they have paid for. Whether we get a refund from him or not we will soon find out. BEWARE.

"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do NOT trust this company!"

We placed an order for a sofa in good faith with their Guildford store in April 2022. Given an estimated delivery date of 14-16 weeks (i.e. mid July). This came and went but no sofa. We were told that the CEO Jit Bhasin was handling all furniture orders.

He spoke with me and advised me of supplier issues and PROMISED me that our sofa would be ready in 3 weeks. Again, this time frame elapsed and guess what? No sofa!

Spoke with him again and he extended the time frame by another 3 weeks, with another promise. I eventually got fed up listening to his explanations after several occasions of "it'll be ready in 3 weeks", and his constant use of the word "promise" because it felt like he would say anything to buy some more time!

We also found it unprofessional that in his conversations with us he discussed his health issues. Whilst we empathise that people fall ill, what CEO of any company mentions that when customers are complaining to them!!!!???

Then in November 2022, almost 7 months and still no sofa, we requested a refund of deposit paid, and the delivery charge which we had also paid. (Ironic really considering we had paid a delivery charge for something that was never "delivered")

I was assured that a refund would be sent by bank transfer, but hey, 10 working days elapsed and no money in our account. I spoke with Jit the CEO and suddenly the story changed and I was being told about how India Jane are struggling financially and he "promised" the money would be with me within a week. Refusing to believe anymore dishonesty I contacted my credit card company and with strong evidence I had provided, I was able to receive a refund via them.

It's a shame that I even have to give this company 1 star rating, because really it should be zero after all the bad customer service, prevarications and false information we were clearly being given!

"Terrible customer service"

I bought a lovely large dresser but the dresser arrived damaged (which was then later fixed together). More importantly they broke an antique hallway light and badly scraped the wooden flooring during delivery. Despite many attempts to resolve this they have stopped responding to my communications

I just like to mention the lovely experience
at one my favourite shops
I couldn’t believe that the lady with the blond hair called Ligia is still working in this shop , she’s is always with a very welcome smile , very professional and helpful , I’m looking to replace my old and tiered sofas with new ones, and Ligia as given me great advice, highly recommend .

"Nice product and great service."

We are delighted with our recent purchase of 5 black-framed prints (a Collection of Parrots - Set of 4, and a Blue Headed Parakeet).
They arrived promptly and the packaging was first class.
These were not our first purchases from India Jane and certainly won't be our last.
Nice products and we have always received great service. Thank you to all concerned at India Jane.

"YOU DO NOT MATTER AS A CUSTOMER"

The lady that served me in the store at the Bath branch was lovely. I bought and paid for a chair in June and it should have been delivered in October. Up until then service was fine. But the order was delayed and I had no communication from India Jane. I emailed and received a call on 5 November from Jhit who explained they were having problems with orders and that it should be ready on 23 November. I accepted that and thanked him for calling me. I have again emailed several times and phoned the store about 3 or 4 times who have raised this with Jhit ------- I am still waiting to hear from Jhit and I still do not know what is happening with my order and when I will ever get it. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. A month later and I am still battling to receive a full refund. I am told this is going to be refunded to me in 2 payments. The refund is under £1,800!!! I might add that the manager Simon of the Bath Store has been a great help so far. The owner Jhit has not.

"Order of sofa/ottoman in June and still waiting. Do not order unless product is in stock."

As other customers, we have had the same problems. We ordered a sofa and ottoman in June which has still not arrived. We talked to Head Office who could not access our order and eventually, Jit whom, I assume is the Managing Director. We really liked the product and the Bath Store staff were excellent. We were given the same excuses by Jit of delivery/manufacturing problems etc. Will have to ask for a refund which is more than disappointing.

"False Descriptions - Frames are foam not wood!"

My wife brought home a mirror from India Jane in Bath, that they told her was framed in Indian mango wood. While hanging, it’s clear the frame is entirely made of foam, which is painted. It also says made in China on the back!! Won’t be shopping there again.
