"Close to get divorced because of them..."
I am transferring the review below from ASM to Motorhog, as this Company (Motorhog) is getting away with selling cars through ASM and when customers are not satisfied, we leave negative reviews for ASM when in fact they have nothing to do with the actual business selling the cars, just using the ASM online platform. I just had a call from ASM explaining how they share the website platform and that's it. So here is the review from two years ago.
Do yourself a massive favor: do NOT use ASM (incorrect, do not use Motorhog). It nearly cost me my marriage…
Here we are, bidding on a car that is in Doncaster. We live in London. The photos of the car are great. The description is brief, though, but my husband went for it. You have to pay the full amount plus their fees before you can go and collect, so we paid £2500 and a few days later we went to collect the car.
The shock was imminent when a Company employee drove the vehicle to us. The interior of the car was so bad and filthy that I felt sorry for my husband for having to drive in the car back to London. The left passenger window mechanism was not working and the window was down, so there was a plastic nylon sellotaped in place for a window. The vehicle had been painted by amateurs as the paint was peeling off. It looks awful. The driver's window was not working (at least it was up).
Now, having purchased years ago from the Oxford site many, many years ago, and knowing the business T&C, we knew that we couldn’t do absolutely anything about the car we were now owners of, so we drove off.
My husband pulled over at the first Motorway Service to tell me that we won’t be able to drive faster than 60mph as the Turbo of the car was not working. I’ll stop at this.
Be smart and don’t buy from these guys. The Company is a multi-million business and they can surely afford hiring stuff for detailed descriptions of the vehicles, its state and whether it’s working. Obviously, their Terms and Conditions are written by top solicitors and the Company is very well protected in case someone wants to challenge them. They advise for bidders to go over and take a look at the car but even if you go and do that, you won’t be allowed to drive the car, which in our case wouldn’t have helped anyway, since the Turbo could only be felt once driving. It is not in their interest to give detailed info as it relies on fools like ourselves and, by the look of their Accounts, they are doing excellently in attracting and, most importantly, conning morons like us.
So far, we’ve spend further £2500 and the car is in far from satisfactory state and my marriage is on the rocks.
Motorhog are pure bandits, ripping legally people off. Shame.

"Really poor customer service"
Really poor service from start to finish. Booked it easily enough online and was waiting for a call back. Called them on three different numbers they gave me and only person I got through to refused to deal with it. Eventually got a call to book a collection, half an hour later they called back to cancel offering me no other alternative and asked me to drive the car to their nearest depot even though the car wouldn't start. Terrible service and terribly disorganised company. Wouldn't use!

"Sold shell of an engine. !!"
Really saddened by how this company operates. Bought an engine off them. Guy who removed it even showed it to me running. Am thinking good , just a case of fitting it in when it arrives where it was going. Engine arrived ( sent far far way) only to discover all the external parts were removed from it. So the price they give you for an engine is for basically the engine block. Starter motors alternator , manifold all the parts around the engine are removed. They don’t tell you that , not sure why. If you can find your spare some where else please don’t ignore the cries here. These people are rough and ready they don’t care about customer service one bit ! Those who have given them 5 stars are the few lucky ones who have found their parts and had no issues.
