I’ve given great reviews for the service I’ve had in the Jesmond shop. I’ve been shopping there 30 years and the past 15 years the staff have been great whereas previously they were very snobbish. The business operates a new “loyalty” system but I’ve not been able to access it for quite a while, something I mentioned in the shop 6 months ago. When I order on line I can’t claim my points so today I spoke with Customer Services about a delivery that hadn’t arrived and I mentioned the inability to access the points system. The young lady offered to reimburse me the points going back to September 2024 as she can view my 2024 orders. I asked why she couldn’t add all the points for the whole year but “it’s not company policy”. A bit of a pathetic answer to a loyal client of 30 years. The amount of money is paltry but the principle is a big point to me. If the business belonged to this young lady, and she was facing a client who has spent many thousands of pounds in her shop, she would be mad to take this stance. Acting like a big conglomerate with “company policy” rather than a small local business that relies on a loyal local clientele. So very disappointing.
