Due to a problem with the shipping company, beyond the control of Assai, my package was returned to the UK. Assai's customer service went above and beyond to resolve the problem.
Great customer service that resolves problems when they occur. Would recommend.

I had a terrible time placed an order on line clearly shown as free delivery, so response on delivery got an email from some called Stephanie, advised I can have this item deliveried at a cost of 5 pounds. when I advised their mistake they juust brushed it under the carpet and refused to even try and resolve the issue. So I had to ask for a refund. So do not count on any customer service or resolution to an issue from this store. only use them if you can't get the item from elsewhere. I wished I had read other reviews as I think this is a theme with them

I have used Assai Records for years now and my experience has always been excellent. I have ordered from a lot of different independent record shops and have found that the mail order customer service from Stephanie and vinyl packaging from Assai is the best. The signed OBI editions are great as well!

The staff were super friendly and very nice, especially when I turned up early to see the Vistas, allowing me to come in for a bit out of the cold and retain my spot at the front of the queue!
Prices of records, CDs and tickets were very fair and if I do say so cheap for the excellent quality that you get.
This was my first time there and I’m raring to go back!
Check it out if you have an interest in music because they’re well worth it!

i have terrible mental health battles but I asked could they help me go to a once in a lifetime gig.
I hate to ask it takes a lot to do this as i feel like i am a pest.
but Stephanie helped me sort this. i now will have people to keep me relaxed as i can when going, never made me feel bad or asked silly questions. just helped, i wish more people and companies had this kind of empathy and help

"Good experience..."
I've ordered a few vinyl LP's from Assai and thought it was about time I wrote a review.
I just received the Greta Van Fleet signed Obi edition and it's lovely. I really like the new packaging with the vinyl in a plastic, resealable slip sleeve instead of shrink-wrap. I hope they do this with all Obi versions from now on.
All my orders have been pretty straightforward. On a couple of occasions I've had to chase but have always had a very fast and polite response. I'm not fussed about how long orders take to come within reason.
The vinyl is always really well packaged and arrives in immaculate condition.
The exclusive Obi editions that Assai issue are gorgeous, even better if they're the signed versions.
Overall, I'm really happy with what Assai offer in terms of lovely, collectible vinyl and so far their service has been impeccable.

"Poor delivery time and communication"
Really disappointed after hearing great things about Assai. Ordered some vinyl and a cassette (over £50) all of which was in stock. No delivery date stated at checkout or when issued order confirmation. Four days after order I chased up in email to be told some of my order was arriving from a different store on that day and would be sent out immediately. Another three days passed and I replied with my frustration and received a reply saying they understand and are sorry, which I thought was quite patronising.
No rationale, no update etc. This is day 8 and I'm still to receive items. If not here tomorrow I'll be asking for refund.
They need to have a delivery guarantee or tracking info available and should update customers. They've lost a would be regular customer.

"Bad gig ticket experience"
Ordered a gig ticket from Assai in August 2021 for an event in March 2022. This event was cancelled and set to be rescheduled indefinitely. 16 months later the show is set to go ahead with my new ticket received on 5th June, but I am unable to attend. Requested a refund but have been told that I only had 14 days from the purchase date to request this and that also their terms and conditions prohibit a refund after one year from the original event date. Explained the rules set out in the Consumer Rights Act 2015 with regards to event rescheduling or cancellation but these have fallen on deaf ears. Always a shame when a local company doesn’t get things like this right, especially when they seem to have done so well in the past.

If you want your vinyl to arrive in pristine condition then look no further than assai records! I have purchased many items through the amazon assai store over the years and always arrived in pristine condition so when i wanted 4 items together i thought it would be easier to order then direct from assai and i have never seen better packaging in all the years i have been buying vinyl online to protect the vinyl from being damaged than i have from assai also first class customer service i rang one of there branches for a query about my order and spoke to somebody over the phone who answered within 10 seconds. I couldn’t rate this company any higher happy customer :)
