This program was very informative for anyone interested medicine. The curriculum was filled with helpful tips and hands on learning experiences. Also, the program was filled with great staff, speakers, and other presenters that clearly laid out the medical path. I would definitely recommend Outset to any teen who is considering the path of medicine.

Outset was a great experience for me. The content in the presentations regarding undergraduate and graduate studies were very informative, and the hands-on activities provided a realistic experience to what a physician does. On top of that, I met a lot of great people, and the counselors and staff were extremely friendly.

I found this program, extremely informational and very helpful in learning about the medical profession and what actionable steps I can do as a high schooler to get there. I really enjoyed the hands on work to do in the school of medicine and interacting with educators that have experienced this field.

My daughter attended the Outset program in June of 2024. She had an absolutely amazing experience! The kids had great hands on experience related to the medical field, great class room experience and had a lot of fun activities to keep them entertained. The staff was amazing and responded quickly with questions. I highly recommend Outset to others.

The camp taught a lot about medical school and the medical field in general while still staying entertaining with activities like going to a baseball game and having a pool party. Staff were very responsible and organized.

"Excellent Program for Healthcare Pathway Students ! "

My rising Senior who is very inclined towards the Healthcare industry has to say nothing but "All Praises " about the Outset program. It was very informative and hands on. Even being High schoolers , our kids got an opportunity to be in the UNC Med School campus and take part in medical activities which is otherwise only possible for a Med student . It was very well chaperoned and organized so we felt safe about our high-school kid to be out there . A perfect balance of informative plus fun activities , makes this program all the more interesting. We also loved the subjects discussed in the seminars as it gave a very clear idea about different genres of Healthcare industry, how Med shool works, about the admission process and then practical hands-on lab / OR activities and very impressed that these seminars were conducted by esteemed Doctors and Professors .We are very glad that we chose Outset for this very crucial summer before college applications start and our daughter has a lot of confidence and clarity about applying for Pre med for her undergrad program after this experience. Thanks to the entire team of outset and especially Mr. Lawson for doing this for our future Healthcare personals !

It was incredibly informative, we learned so much in such a short amount of time, while still having plenty of time for fun activities. All the learning was interactive, engaging and including all students. The staff were also fantastic!

This program was attended by my high school sophomore kid. Team took a very good personalized care of each of the student. My kid learnt a lot during this week long program and hope this will help in the long run to shape their career.

Everything was great about the whole program. We got to meet like minded people, tour the campus, and most importantly we got to get in depth explanation of the different paths that can be taken to get to med school. The cherry on top was the great supportive staff and counselors (shout out tim)

This was a great program for me and I would recommend it to anyone figuring out whether or not they want to go into medicine. First of all, the program staff was so amazing! We got to hear from actual medical students which was very beneficial for me because it gave me a perspective of what the days are like and the range of years it takes to complete school. There were also a couple of guest speakers, some from the admissions department, some UNC teachers, and some real doctors. The speakers from the admissions department really helped me get a sense of what you need to have on your application to make it into Med. school and what I can start to do for the rest of high school and college that will give me an edge on the competition. Overall, I think it was a very beneficial program that I would recommend to anyone who thinks they are interested in medicine!
