Read a lot of negative reviews, I ordered 13 sleepers last week and received them midday today 29/4/2001.
Excellent service and driver very polite and helpful.
Would use them again without a doubt.

"Planed and Bevelled Sleepers"
I bought 40 planed and bevelled sleepers in July of last year. The delivery was as expected and the driver was very friendly and helpful offloading the sleepers himself. Unfortunately, due to heavy rain which went on for weeks we were unable to check the quality of the sleepers within the required 30 days. The quality of the sleepers was poor with many bevelled edges being incomplete and some faces were not parallel with each other with the machining stopped two thirds of the way along which showed that they had realised a mistake had been made which left a step in the sleeper. There were several with big lumps out of them and some looked like they had been machined with blunt tools. The sleepers were said to be of sufficient quality for a child's play area which is completely untrue. The sleepers were also said to have been pressure treated with tanalith but when cutting the sleepers to size there was clearly no pressure treatment involved as it was clear from the cut face that the tanalith had merely been painted on the surface or possibly briefly dipped. Very disappointed with the quality overall. Having said that we have managed to finish our project with a lot of extra work in squaring off ends, re-making bevels or doing them from scratch and ending up having to fill and paint them.
If you do decide to buy sleepers make sure that you check them thoroughly on arrival. I would hope that given some of the bad reviews that more care will be taken by the company in future to check the quality before leaving the depot.
I didn't raise the issue with Gardoo as it was months before the sleepers dried out and did not take photos of the damage. I have put this down to experience but hope this review will alert others to potential issues.

Having read the reviews I was worried my sleepers wouldn’t arrive. But they did and they arrived on time too. Had to email the company beforehand and got a response quickly. A couple of the sleepers were not cut particularly straight. But I don’t think it will matter.

"Ordered 2 bags of soil"
Ordered 2 bags of soil. Only 1 bag came on the day. Contacted cus service via phone and email immediately. No reply. Had to chase again today. Then told to wait until they know what happened as if it is my fault not to have the 2 bags delivered. Cannot bother with them anymore. Requested full refund. But they declined my request! They say they need to know what happened before they can refund me! How am I to do with this? I just want to have my money back as they didn’t deliver as per contract. It is clear on the courier delivery note that they only delivered 1 bag. This is ridiculous.
Update: why are you sorry for me? You created this situation. You should be sorry for yourself (company wise). I don’t need the bag anymore.

I ordered some slate chippings before reading reviews and was concerned they might not turn up, but I needn’t have worried. I sent an email to check delivery was on schedule and got a reply straight away saying it was. It duly arrived and was placed where I requested. Can’t fault service.

I ordered 20 sleepers to be delivered. I allowed for an approx 2 week lead time to ensure that there would not be any issues with the delivery.
Really helpful delivery driver was able to unload by himself using his motorised pump truck and tail lift. Maybe I was just lucky. Delivery is quite expensive but they are upfront and not hidden. You can make your own choice as to whether you’re willing to pay or not. Sleepers are mostly in very good condition. There are a lot of people that are completely naive to the difference between 1 skewer to another when dealing with natural wood products. Some are a slight variation in colour and this is due to different rates of drying out from the treatment. This is normal! I have used Gardoo 3 times before this time hence my return with confidence regardless of the misleading negative reviews. I used to collect direct from the company which was useful to me. As for reviewers commenting about other companies better for the same price is completely false. You will struggle to find sleepers elsewhere for less than double what Gardoo charges. I will continue to use Gardoo for mine and others future garden projects.

"No Delivery"
We ordered bark and was emailed to say it would be delivered on the 16/04/21 stayed in all day no delivery or any call or email from this company. I have emailed them twice and no response. They still have my money. I will have to contact my credit card to get my money back

"Over 10% of sleepers useless"
Ordered 25 sleepers that arrived OK though 2 were rotten and un-useable and another was broken from abnormal load. Probably another 4-6 had extensive wood worm problems though I used them anyway as I needed to do some work.
They do not respond to emails and the only phone number I have found (through AHS) seems to be busy all the time based on my experience and a few other I comments I see on various websites. Still waiting for them to call back.
Terrible product, terrible customer service - just avoid. Pay slightly more from somewhere else and get a good product.
Update - after 5 weeks and multiple attempts to contact they have got in touch and offered a refund for the 3 sleepers though will replace them or take the rotten ones away. Struggle to fit them in the rubbish bin...

"Wish I could give more stars"
I wish I could give this company a higher rating. We ordered 18 sleepers a week or so ago, and got an immediate email confirmation. That was the good bit.
I was not best pleased that after a £115 delivery charge they won't even take the things off the wagon for you, and you have to have 2 people to unload. My husband had to take a day off work because they won't give you a delivery time or even an AM or PM.
I was pleased they arrived at 9.30am as we had the gardeners booked for today to create the raised beds. But we had no notification, or email when despatched - which is what is promised on the initial email.
The phone number is hard to find and is for the sister company, but when we finally found it and we rang at 9am the gentleman said the delivery was definitely happening today. And indeed it arived 30 minutes later.
The sleepers are good quality - only one with a bit of a crushed corner, but we can deal with that.
Such a shame about the customer service / lack of communication. The sleepers are a good quality and a good price for 18 - even with the high delivery charge. If only communication was better and they could be a bit more specific on times - even if just AM or PM. My husband really only needed to take an hour off work and has had to 'waste' a whole day of his holidays. At least he has used it to wash the car!
Get your comms sorted Gardoo, have a phone number on your website (even if it just goes to a telephone answering service, it would reassure your customers).
It is a shame that the experience created such anxiety. First, I have had no contact since the confirmation email, and there is no telephone number. My thoughts this morning were "Is it a scam? Have I just wasted £400? If it's not a scam, is it going to arrive today?"
Secondly - my husband had to take one of his precious holiday days to take delivery - as there had to be 2 people. When you are paying £115 for delivery you kind of expect it to be delivered. Not that you have to do the last bit yourself. When you order a Fridge freezer from.....well anywhere - you don't have to go get it off the truck and into your house yourself!!
Great Product, Great Price, Poor poor customer service / systems.
