"I had a very good experience with…"
I had a very good experience with Culture Vulture, with great communication and quick delivery. I was extremely impressed and also delighted with my order which was very good quality. I highly recommend this company and I will definitely use again.

"Won’t be using again! "
Ordered a door mat end of March to give to my mother as a birthday present in May, as she had been eyeing it up for a while.
Email received 3 weeks later stating there was a delay in getting the delivery to their warehouse and that I would receive it in June.
Told my mother on her birthday that I had got her the doormat she wanted, but she would have to wait a little longer. She was disappointed but so happy to be getting it.
Called customer services this morning to chase it up to be told they now don’t know when they will be receiving it and that someone would contact me back (I won’t hold my breath).
Wish I had read the other reviews before ordering, some of which stating they sell items they don’t actually have.

"Terrible customer service"
I have never signed up to this company's mailing list. They sent me a brochure. I emailed to request they remove my details from their database, and they requested further info to do this (which I provided). Nonetheless, I'm still receiving brochures from them, several months later.

"I received a faulty item"
I received a faulty item. I called to return and replace. It was not poss. to reserve a replacement. I was told a returns label would be sent, four hours later I rang Customer Services. I was then told the label could take 24th, I called again and it was 24-48hours but definitely today. It is 1500 no label. I doubt there will be any left for me when the faulty one gets there. When I said it was terrible Customer Service he said I was shouting. I wasn’t after 34 years in Cust Serv management I know people don’t hear when shouted at.

"Run away! Run away!"
I spent over £130 on Christmas gifts. Firstly, I had no complete order confirmation email, only a Paypal notification of the monies being taken. Despite ordering in plenty of time, the amount of time they spent “picking and packing”, i had to buy an alternative present because I was still waiting for delivery. I am still waiting for the order to be fulfilled, so, once again, I have had to buy ANOTHER alternative present. Oddly enough, despite the despatch being associated with a ‘48-hour’ delivery, this has yet to happen. Customer service is hit and mostly miss.
Update: After another email, suddenly I got a refund for the missing items. No response via email, not apology. Such as shame as they used to be good but will never buy from them again.

"Don't Bother With Next Day Delivery"
CVUK3947820
Ordered yesterday, well before 2pm cut off time, and paid for next day delivery.
Item has not been dispatched, so it clearly won't be arriving today.
UPDATE Culture Vulture have refused to cancel this order and refund me. They claim the item ordered is "in picking" and that they have no method of contacting their warehouse. Apparently the item is in stock- if this is the case, why not just get a move on and dispatch it??
Emails go unanswered.
I am told that there is no-one at senior/management level available to discuss the issue. They are all "busy.
It will take two days for my request for a refund of "next day postage" to be considered.
They now say the item wil be dispatched tomorrow.
Email received on 8th December. It doesn't mention my request for a refund of postage. It claims the "picking process" has progressed too far in spite my having alerted them to the issue early yesterday morning.
**Update: Finally I have spoken to a supervisor. They have at last admitted that they have no stock. I suspected this from the outset. I have been promised a full refund.

"BOGUS COMPANY/NO STOCK"
Placed an order, waited 10 days, nothing came and heard nothing. Called them up, only to be told that the items weren't in stock. When I placed this order there was no mention of the items being out of stock - and they took the money, which was over £50.00.
Wrestled with them over the phone, saying as the items were not in stock I wanted to cancel and get my money back, which they eventually agreed to, seemingly reluctantly. They did apologise and said that the online order information wasn't up to date - which is ridiculous! Anyway, what a complete waste of time. I am now awaiting a refund and wasn't told how long that will be either, so we will see.
If said refund doesn't arrive in a timely manner, then I will reclaim via my credit card pronto!
This company doesn't seem to know what its doing as regards stock, so what is going on? It's as though they take the orders and money and then order things. Even if they are doing that, the process is slow, so don't bother ordering from them at all. Shame because the purported items for sale seem pretty good....
UPDATE: After asking them to cancel the order as there wasn't stock, I was promised TWICE that they would do this and follow-up by email. However, this has not been done - and unless I hear something by the end of today (7th November) I am going to ask for a chargeback through my Lloyds credit card.
Life is really too short to wrestle with people over this and I wouldn't shop with you ever again.
I feel totally SCAMMED.
SECOND UPDATE:
Now they are saying that the warehouse is 'working on the cancellation' when it's clear that nothing is being done at all. I have now concluded that this is a scam company with no stock and no intention of giving me my money back. I will now have to ask my credit card provider to effect a chargeback without further delay as they are not communicating anymore.
UPDATE NOVEMBER 14TH:
Eventually, the company did cancel the order and refunded my money, promised. They later offered me a 20% discount but I was unable to take up that offer, due to the negative experience. Once you've been burned, it's much less stressful to go to more familiar shopping sites generally....

"Having waited many weeks and chasing up…"
Having waited many weeks and chasing up my order placed with Culture Vulture I am now told by them there is no stock to fulfil my order. I will not be buying from them again. Total waste of time. And the clothes are not cheap !

"They can’t get anything right, plus issue cheques which bounce!"
Ordered a rug from this company back in March. About a week later, I received a slip in the post from Royal Mail saying that my item had been underpaid on postage by £6 and I had to pay this to release the goods. Not ideal but customer service did refund this money to me. However, a totally different rug turned up to the one I’d ordered! Again, contacted customer service and they arranged for the incorrect item to be picked up and a new rug to be issued to me. I waited two weeks to be told that the original rug I had ordered is now out of stock. No mention of a refund because a new order was created as a replacement which is showing that I paid “£0.00” for the new item. This company are a joke, all they have done is put me out of pocket and I still don’t have my item!
EDIT: A week later and they claim that the issue is due to them moving warehouses. They sent me a 20% off code to try and regain my trust… as if I will order from them again! They did refund me after a lot of nagging but still owed me money for the fees owed to Royal Mail to release the item due to underpaid postage. They sent me a cheque to cover this and it BOUNCED because they cancelled it before it was cashed in!!!! These people are crooks!

"Haven’t registered to receive a catalog"
I have received their catalog today which tells me that they are sister companies with Museum Selection which I delete with recently. Upon reading the reviews here I see that both companies have the same administrative failing. It is not professional to share customer info even though I understand that they want to make money. I haven’t given consent to receive catalogs through mail which goes to landfill.
