"Defective demo handling initially slow, but corrected"
Bought a demo TR5000-DT3. Unfortunately the unit has some issues and I promptly contacted LifeSpan Europe on the day I received it along with videos of the issue.
1. The belt hit the motor compartment on every rotation
2. Squeaking from the panel below the belt
3. Creaking from the panel below the belt
It took some time, but LifeSpan Europe sent a new demo. It came a bit roughed up (scratches, dents, belt looked a bit worn out). But no issues with how it runs nor any noises so far.
So I asked if we could arrange for a new model if I paid the negligible difference.
The new model came, and it unfortunately also had some issues with noise like the first unit, unlike the roughed up demo which just worked as it should.
After testing the new unit I promptly contacted LifeSpan and we arranged that I keep the roughed up demo. I sent the new model and the first demo back, no questions asked using a prepaid label, by having saved the pallet they shipped it on initially.
I also appreciate the trust LifeSpan put in me by having multiple products out of their warehouse to make sure I still had a unit to use during the exchange process.
My only advice is to make sure the treadmill runs well. Use it a lot in the start to make sure any issues are discovered early on. It seems the quality assurance could be better.
The working model has been fantastic to use. It's a whole other experience than the cheap walkingpad competitors. And definitely worth the price difference just in pure usability alone.
Its probably the best we can get on this side of the atlantic unless you're willing to pay 4-7 times more for walkolution which is a whole other segment of products and has a very different feel.
I feel you get the best value here, and after the initial troubles LifeSpan has been good at communicating back and forth.

Na bestelling kreeg je van Decathlon andere servicevoorwaarden (geen retour naar winkel)
Transport was gevraagd om vooraf te verwittigen. Is niet het geval geweest.
Reken op een 3 uur assemblage
Bij opstart toestel getest en kreeg een Error bij de hoogteinstellingen.Toestel vanaf dan niet meer bruikbaar.
‘Sanderdaags morgens gebeld, antwoordapparaat. Dan maar mail gezonden. Hopelijk snel een antwoord zodat ik het toestel kan gebruiken.

Wij hebben 95 euro betaald voor montage en hebben al 5 keer gebeld en ze komen nog niet een ligfiets hometrainer monteren..de besteling is wel snel geleverd

Montage ging goed. Product heb ik verder nog niet getest.
Helaas was de bezorging vertraagd en niet compleet. Dat was dan weer wel gecompenseerd met een mooie zitbal.

"Robust machine, lacks "smart" features"
The treadmill itself is very robust. I've been very disappointed with the Bluetooth capabilities and reached out to Lifespan for help twice but received no reply.
