Rigelta, of Pack and Send was very helpful and always responsive. The packing of the painting was brilliantly done. I'm very impressed.
The only problem was HDL in Portugal who charged VAT for the painting which had been owned by the recipient for two years, HDL refused to discuss the issue.
This was not the fault of Pack and Send.

I arranged for a painting to be sent to a friend in Northumberland. Pack and Send collected and packed it very securely and delivered in two days. Service was very good and competitive price. Would recommend for any art work or fragile items.

"Misleading delivery timescales"

Pack & Send are great... until they aren't. They made me feel seriously misled by the lack of transparency about the delivery timescales - which is not what I expect when I pay inflated prices and deal with a company that prides itself on having so much experience.

So just to confirm, for everyone's clarity: delivering from the UK to Australia will not take 5-7 working days unless there are delays with customs (as they will tell you).

Instead, it will definitely take:
- 5-7 business days for your belongings to land in Australia on a DHL flight
- then, consider 3 more weeks to undergo quarantine, biosecurity and custom clearance with the Australian Border Force (ABF). Three weeks is the average; in the worst-case scenario, it can take months.

Throughout this time, if there are any further issues, expect Pack & Send to tell you to deal with DHL/ABF; DHL to blame the ABF, and the ABF to tell you to contact DHL.

So with this new information, beware of what you pack & send: if you need your items with you in 5-7 business days, do not send them with Pack & Send. Ever.
