"This app is awesome!"
This app is awesome! I've owned my guitar for 12+ years and it was a great decoration until a month ago... now, it's an instrument that gets played daily. Prior, I wasted money on other apps and books that simply didn't keep me engaged like Guitar Tricks (GT). GT holds my attention and I look forward to practicing every day, even if it's just for a few minutes.
With GT, when you move from one lesson to the next, it feels like you've actually made meaningful progress, not just hopping to another segment of the app with a checkmark. In GT, each new lesson builds on the last one and for me, that's critical in the learning process... that's also what the other apps were missing.
At 56, learning new things doesn't come as easily as 30 years ago; however, the GT pace of learning is great for an older beginner. The secret... patience, practice... repeat.
I am completely stoked and optimistic that with daily practice, I will actually become a decent intermediate player in 12 to 18 months. I can feel the beginnings of callouses No doubt that I will renew if I don't get through all of the lessons in this subscriptions' period.

"I love music and want to enjoy it by playing it too"
I'm taking these lessons because I really want to learn how to play my guitar. I have taken one on one lessons 3 different times and have tried different online courses and YouTube videos, just nothing ever seem to work. The way Andrei teaches is well communicated and I can relate and I get it. I watched a piano player o. YouTube recently and even though I don't play piano or even know how, the guy is phenomenal. It got me motivated to want to play my guitar like he plays the piano.

"Off to a very rocky start."
1. It took a long time after I made payment to gain access to the program.
2. The program is slow to respond.
3. Instructions aren’t clear when starting out. How do I determine what level I’m at. I started out at Beginner but clearly I’m more advanced that that. So how do I determine where to start without having to go through everything. I have sent a video of in the hope I receive feedback on my status level.
My experience thus far is disappointing.

"The best site to learn how to play the guitar."
Amazing site if you want to learn the play the guitar.
if you are the beginner you will quickly learn how to play the guitar. Very well structured and very good teachers. Great fun. Big songs library.
This site is also great for intermediate and advanced guitar players to take your guitar playing skills to the next level. Extremely professional.
I wish I have more time to visit this site more frequently.
Thanks for that great experience.
Regards,
Marian

Good so far but the transition from one video to the next is a little slow and some of the videos are too short and could be combined but not bad overall

"Just started with Guitar Tricks and…"
Just started with Guitar Tricks and finding it well organised and structured so it is easy to follow. The lessons are fantastic and easy to understand. I can see that I am already progressing and I can do this at my own pace. This is so much easier than trying to learn on my own.

"Just starting out"
Just starting out on the guitar and with Guitar Tricks. But impressed so far! Detailed, easy to follow lessons that yield success. Lots of depth on individual items.

"It's ok but needs attention !"
I have been trying to learn guitar the wrong way for a long time. I self taught the drums but guitar was the next step for me. So, the review, I gave three stars, I spent almost $200 for this, paid for a year and all the extras, I asked in the support section about my "custom" lesson plan, have no response to date, guess i need to find another way. I may have done something wrong, but you would think if you purchased these extras, they would invite you to do the "custom lesson plan" When i go to the custom lesson plan page of the site, it asks for payment I've already made. Other reasons so far are that the site isn't intuitive at all, very clunky and difficult to navigate, it loads very slow ( my connection is 145+ megs down most days ) way to many button clicks to move from lesson to lesson. For instance, watch a tutorial video, click next lesson, takes a bit to load, the an introductory vid for the lesson, then click next lesson AGAIN then another lesson video loads and you then click on to watch the actual next lesson. May not see like much but, done enough and it becomes tedious. The intro should be just included in the actual lesson vid, js. There are a few little things I could add but I don't want this to be just a bashing lesson, there is many overwhelmingly good parts for this site like, teachers are second to none, really do an incredible job at teaching and engaging with students in the forums, getting past the technical stuff and you get a great education if you follow the teachers advise and lessons.
